@@laurajanco2i that's called a complete character! Instead of the cliche all the time angelic character who stays kind and forgiving to people who are hurting him!! We are not like this in real world we are grey people who have both light and dark inside so one dimensional characters are not relatable to me.

@@narsis273 exactly...that's why I love him, he is so relatable, both in his funny and his serious moments. I see myself in his choices and way of thinking and I admire him so much. It hurts whenever I see viewers or people in the comments, saying that he made Lan Zhan suffer, or that he is a spoiled brat or even worse, that he deserves what came to him. If you talk like that it means that you don't know struggles and judgement and believe that you are above him. I strongly think that as humans we are no better than him... basically, whoever thinks that he/she can call out Wei Ying for his actions, should ask themselves if in such a situation they would have had the courage to do what he did and ask themselves if they have the right to judge him. If he was my brother, partner or son, I would be so proud of him and I would try anything to stay by his side and cheer for him. He deserves the world❤

hmm im not the best at selling shows, but here i go. the show is 'the untamed' and it is a chinese fantasy show that frames your standard tragic hero plot within its own fix it fic. the main character - wei wuxian - his heroics and pride and good intentions get him nothing but grief and dead friends and he falls into demonic cultivation, basically he's a dark mage. however, he is brought back to life for [spoiler reasons], giving him the chance to clear his name, see his nephew, and reunite with some of the important people in his life. it is also gay, though censored, because the original webnovel was in part a romance between wei wuxian and lan wangji. it is available on netflix but if you don't have that option, it is also available here on youtube & subtitled in multiple languages! "eng sub the untamed ep 1" in the search bar should bring you to a playlist if you want to check it out. :)

SLIGHT SPOILERS: I think that it's heavily implied that they're sexually/romantically attracted to each other, even though the relationship is never consummated during the course of the show. It's also left to the viewer to surmise that they do, in fact, hook up after the final scene, imo. :)
