Spread axle you can do 20,000 per axle so you can hold 40,000 in the back

Water weighs 8 lbs. Diesel fuel weighs 6. I mentioned that to another guy on KZfaq and he claimed he researched it and came up with literature from Chevron that said 7 pounds. That’s fine, but in 19 years every gallon I’ve bought weighed 6. Today I load three to six times per day and I haul over 86,000 lbs. of my 88,000 lb. limit, so I know that it still weighs 6. It would be nice if it did weigh 8. If it weighed 8 or more, you could extinguish a fuel fire with water. It would take a lot of water, because a fuel fire is very hot, but you could do it.

The light works as center for a spread axle. Since you can haul more on the spread than on the drives

Does that axle not spread? With a spread axle you're allowed 40,000lbs on the trailer

When I went into shipper I went on with full tanks of fuel ... The shipper gonna deal with it ... I won't run a load 1000 miles and have stop ever 100 to 150 miles to throw 50 to 75 gallons on ...

Just a guess, but his company probably goes to British Columbia quite a bit and my understanding is they don’t allow spread axles.

Good Video! Guys just one question to anyone who would know - what is the average floor capacity per M2 / ft2 for good curtain sider? Where this information can be found? We've got 2 package of 8x6 ft (2.5 x 1.9 meters) and weight is 24000lbs (12 ton) and the freight forwarder says only flat bed can take them because of concentrated weight on small area, but I thing at least one can be transported if loaded closer to axles point but the freight forwarders doesn't agree. What do you think?

Two things to remember, diesel weighs 7 Lbs. per gallon, water weighs 8, that's why oil floats... Also never buy a trailer that doesn't have a spread or sliding tandems, only cheap fleets use fixed tandems because they don't care if the driver has to re-load. Nice job tarping!

Right but by calculating 8 you never have to worry about being too heavy. I agree, because even a sliding spread axle is better than a fixed random and you can still run in CA
