The microgravity created in The Drop Tower only lasts 9.3s, but that's long enough to see the strange things that happen when matter is freed from the pull of the Earth
* 99.99999% (microgravity equivalent to 10-6g)

It is theoretically possible to turn any positive mass into negative mass. We need a 4th space dimension in order to rotate an object with mass, by first offsetting it along the 4th axis and then rotating it around any of the 3 known axis by 180 degrees, then sliding it back to zero on the 4th. The object will continue to exist as before only its energy will be out of phase with the rest of the entities thus having negative gravity.

see i have some question related to video, look at it carefully, it is upside down video may be. water bottle have something black on its base to keep it attached there, toothpaste tube is also has something like double sided tape to keep it there, its motion is not natural. and same for other objects too. maybe magnets in balls. but it is a upside down setup.

🔵 Using the term "Anti-gravity" is more than just a bit-of'a STRETCH here don'tchya THINK?...... After all, gravity is ALWAYS acting full-force on your test 'Object',... you're just taking your measurements at the instant that momentum-ceases,... but even at that very moment, gravity's influence on your test-object does not change!...so there is really no "Anti-gravity" going on here. ........ It is however, an appropriate demonstration of how to sensationalize the truth out-of a video title!

Why is it when you travel in a plane at 500 mph you dont feel weightless? m v squared over r.
@DavidEsp1
@DavidEsp1 3 жыл бұрын
Because the r is measured from the Earth’s centre (= centre of gravity) and the difference in r is microscopic at plane height. There are also some subtleties but that’s the main factor. Even at Low Earth Orbit the difference in gravity is tiny - gravity is still very much there, it’s just that it’s exactly counterbalanced, mainly by the centrifugal force of the satellite going round the planet. Weightlessness does not imply or require gravity-less-ness.

What's tragic is you people do not even have the awareness to recognize the loss of inertia experienced by the 'experiment' as it falls. Try putting a traditional inertia-type accelerometer on the 'experiment' as it drops. I dare ya. I DOUBLE DARE YA. If it is a traditional inertia-type accelerometer it will read NO INERTIA on the way down. "Yes, that's gravity!" you'd say. Exactly. But you miss the exact physical nature of this point. You see, the 9.8 meter/second^2 rate of acceleration caused by gravity is equal to these examples: 1) a dragster type of racing car, at a dragstrip, that accelerates and completes the 1/4 mile dragstrip run in only 9 seconds. DO THE MATH. That is an accleration of 9.8 m/sec^2, down that dragstrip, to get you a 9-second 1/4 mile time. 2) a sports car that accelerates from 0mph to 60mph in only 2 seconds. That is ALSO a 9.8 m/sec^2 acceleration. Idential to gravity's acceleration. 3) This is the most shocking. You see, I am telling you to put yourself in that dragster that races down the 1/4 mile in only 9 seconds. How would you feel, as that very hard acceleration feels like it "presses you deep into the seat" of your race car? The inertia. The resistance of your body to the car which is trying to accelerate you. The seat of the dragster, bolted to the car, does not give you body any choice. Down that dragstrip you go, your body's inertia being overcome by the seat of that dragster, pushing your body down that dragstrip. At this high acceleration - racing down the 1/4 mile in only 9 seconds - it's several times harder acceleration that what we feel in the seat of a large passenger plane when it takes off. Your physical sense in the dragster will be "I feel like I'm being pushed back, deep into the seat" 3) example - this is the most shocking. I'm telling you to sit in an office desk chair, the kind with wheels on the bottom. In a large warehouse or gymnasium, that is at least 32 feet long. Keep in mind, the average family room in a private home is 16 feet across, or a master bedroom in a private home, 16 feet across. I'm telling you to sit in that office chair, in a 32 foot long room - twice the length of the average family room or master bedroom. Sit in that chair at one end of that large room, then accelerate hard enough so that you, sitting in that chair, shoot across that 32 foot long room IN ONE SECOND. Picture yourself in that very large room, shooting across its entire 32 foot length IN ONE SECOND. Because 32 feet per second is ALSO the acceleration of gravity. When you accelerated in that chair and crossed that huge 32 foot room in only ONE SECOND, what did the inertia feel like? Obviously your body would RESIST such a hard acceleration! You would feel 'pushed deep into the seat' so hard it would scare you. 32 feet in one second! ALL THREE OF THOSE EXAMPLES ARE *IDENTICAL* TO THE ACCELERATION OF GRAVITY. NOW, IN ALL 3 CASES, LET'S SAY THAT YOU CARRY an accelerometer with you to measure your rate of acceleration. If you carry with you - in the 3 examples above - a traditional inertia-activated accelerometer, what would that accelerometer report? An accelerometer is an instrument that detects and is calibrated at the factory to **accurately report** the magnitude of an acceleration. HERE'S WHAT THE ACCELEROMETER WOULD REPORT FOR THE 3 CASES ABOVE: 1) for the dragster case, racing down the 1/4 mile dragstrip in only 9 seconds - the accelerometer you carried with you on your dragstrip run would report 9.8 meters per second squared -- THE SAME ACCELERATION AS GRAVITY. 2) for the sportscar case, accelerating from 0mph to 60mph in only 2 seconds, the accelerometer you carried with you in the car would report an acceleration of 9.8 meters per second squared, SAME AS THE ACCELERATION OF GRAVITY 3) for the 1-second acceleration across a 32 foot room in an office chair on wheels, the accelerometer you carried would report an acceleration of 32.2 FEET PER SECOND SQUARED, the same acceleration as gravity (note: 9.8 m/sec^2 is the same as 32.2 ft/sec^2) Got it? Okay. Now, here's the punchline. I want you take that same accelerometer and attach it to your 'experiment' as it falls in gravity. Recall that the acceleration due to gravity is 9.8m/sec^2, aka 32.2 ft/sec^2. WHAT WILL YOUR ACCELEROMETER READ AFTER THE EXPERIMENT DROPS? **ZERO** - the accelerometer will report ZERO ACCELERATION, despite the fact that you're accelerating downward at 9.8 m/sec^2. Why? Because there is a small moveable piece of material in the traditional accelerometer that acts like your body in a dragster, or sports car, or speeding office chair - the small piece of material is on a pivot and it RESISTS ACCELERATION due to its own inertia. In the 3 example cases, that small piece of material on a pivot inside the plastic body of the accelerometer acted just like your body - it RESISTED THE ACCELERATION. And It gets 'pushed backward' (relative to the accelerating car or dragster or office chair) and the amount it deflects is calibrated by the manufacturer, then reported to the user. IN OTHER WORDS, the accelerometer requires inertia to work correctly. And that acclerometer WILL NOT WORK - it will report ZERO ACCELERATION - if you drop it with your experiment in the 9.8 m/sec^2 acceleration due to gravity. WHY? Because there is not enough inertia to deflect the small piece of material. Because gravity, the actual *physical manifestation* of it, is a reduction of inertia. If you allow yourself to drop in gravity at the exact same acceleration that gives you a "pushed back deep into the seat" feeling in a 9 second dragster - you will not feel that inertia. AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT EXCEED 9.8 m/sec^2. If you attach a jet pack and increase your acceleration as you fall to the ground ABOVE 9.8 m/sec^2, you will sense inertia on your body - that 'pushed back into the seat' feeling - as soon as you exceed 9.8 m/sec^2. What we call gravity is a quench of inertia up to the acceleration of the planet or moon. On the moon, inertia is quenched to zero at a downward acceleration of only 1.625 m/s^2. On Earth, inertia is quenched to ZERO - AT ALL ACCELERATIONS UP TO AND INCLUDING 9.8 m/sec^2, along a vector pointing at the densest part of Earth's matter - its center. Standing on the sideline and saying 'freefall!' or 'that's gravity' and you have no chance to understand the actual cause of gravity and inertia. No chance at all. .
