Hello, I'm sorry for the depression and insomnia, I know how you feel. Meditation has helped me a lot. It's given me the ability to love and appreciate myself, which has greatly improved the depression and insomnia. Also, please get yourself around other people, don't isolate. Depression loves to keep us alone -- don't let it. Find at least one person you can talk to every day, and share everything about yourself with someone. Sometimes it's hard to discover the right people, it was for me. Just keep looking. Join a support group, there are so many online. Try doing one nice thing for you and someone else every day. Spend at least 30 seconds every day looking in the mirror and saying nice things about yourself, it feels awkward at first, but it really helps. You need to fall in love with you again. Like when you were a child. You can do this!
