Al is much more than that. Less than half of the songs on his 14 studio albums are parodies. Al's original songs are amazing. No one writes harmonies like him. When I saw him and his band of over 40 years perform his original song, Velvet Elvis, I was blown away. Melanie and You Don't Love Me Anymore are such beautiful melodies. A true genius.
