The Barbie Extra Fly Dolls are super exciting to me because we finally get a Ken Doll in this line. The Barbie Fairy Dolls on the other hand are fine, but not a fan of molded on tops. However, I might use them for Made To Move projects and TikToks.

Modern Barbie dolls are almost like they're not even made by Mattel. Like cheap knock-offs. Combable hair, removable clothes and full articulation should be standard on all Barbie dolls.

9:59 The issue here is the bangs and the face paint. The face mold itself is actually quite nice. I’ve seen some people do repaints of her to look more like Margot Robbie, and wowza does the doll look STUNNING when done right. As for the bangs, there isn’t anything necessarily “wrong” with them, but they aren’t movie accurate, nor are they the most flattering for her face shape/mold. I’d absolutely buy this doll if I was skilled at doll repaints, but since I cannot do her justice, it’d be a waste of money.

One Barbie extra fly dolls promote to kids (and adult collectors I guess) to wear spf 50 sunscreen (also of course even if you have dark skin too) which is great! Many of their parents (and other people in my age of 30+ and older) were probably brought up to not care/ didn’t know about UV damage and skin cancer risk, so that’s a good educational thing. I mean I guess that’s just my own experience in my country. But all vacation/ outdoorsy dolls should have the sunscreen accessory, not just the beach Barbie !

Love all the beach/ coastal vibes happening. There were a few old color reveal that I liked. The ones with the full wigs. The wigs are trash but the sculpted hair was really cute and I believe color changed.

Amazon made a mistake and was selling the new barbie dreamhouse for pre order for 61 bucks . The page is taken down now. But its supposed to ship on the 22 this month . Lets see if people get them !

The decision of making dolls for the Barbie Movie look like actors as much as possible is very strange to me... Like, I get that Mattel can create "portrait" dolls (sometimes doing it very well), but this movie is centered around actual dolls/Barbie-like peoople. Why even try to make look-alike dolls for mass market when you can clearly capitalise on nostalgia and do so based on good intentions? The main audience for the movie is most likely adults. Making dolls that are reminicent of older releases while resembling the movie cast/characters would have been a POWER MOVE from a marketing prespective (in my opinion).

As a collector, I think Barbie has really downgraded the collector dolls. You can barely tell the difference between a collector doll and a play line doll anymore. First, they need to bring back the Model Muse body type for collector dolls. Second, the clothes used to be so beautifully made and tailored, and now the fabric is printed instead of embroidered, cheap looking. Third, even the face sculpts, and the face paint on the collector dolls has really been downgraded. I can't remember the last collector doll I was just excited to buy.

I understand that the Barbie extra dolls are supposed to be, EXTRA. But sometimes they seem a little over-designed. I love the Barbie but I feel as if her jumpsuit is missing something, maybe a silver belt? Something to break up the color.

I like the extra dolls outifits the colors are so great this series. I also like the Ken doll in the set having real hair dosnt he have molded on hair most of the time these days. My favorite doll from this video is the malficent and cinderella dolls and both horses from this video the one from the new barbie magic movie and Cinderellas look really pretty .

I got really excited when I first saw Barbie Movie Ken and then my heart SANK when I saw Barbie... I really hope you are right that she looks better in real life. I have had high hopes for a comeback. I will still get Barbie and Ken though. I don't buy current Barbie dolls because the quality is horrible. I can't stand the face molds. Even my 5 year old daughter notices and likes playing with my dolls from the early 90s. I don't buy her the current playline. I wish Mattell would get a clue and bring back the old molds. 😢

I owned two Barbie dolls in my life. One of them was the Rapunzel you mentioned at the beginning. I'm binge watching because I'm sick and I'm so happy to see myonly recognizable doll mentioned 😁 I had NO idea there were soooo many Barbie dolls 😯😯

The only ones that I'm interested in actually getting is some of the new Extra Dolls, but I have to agree with you on the gaudy jewelry, the belts, the shoes, & definitely the floral prints are way too much. theyll need to have some of the clothing removed & then restyled with new clothing pieces. I'm definitely going to get one or two of the Ken ones but he'll definitely be getting a reroot or a dye job because the hair is way too matchy matchy with his clothing, so he'll even end up darker hair or with light blonde highlights. The only other ones that I maybe getting is the Barbie Movie Dolls, but I'm going to actually see them in person to decide on them, but the rest of them they can keep because I'm not interested in the tacky color reveal dolls or the basic ones that only having minimum joint movement, & as far as the Disney ones I'm completely not interested in them. I only own the original Mattel Disney ones from the 90's. 💜💯

I like the Barbie Extra Fly line, but they should have went with the original prototype for the winter one. We rarely ever get a dark skin Barbie with colorful hair. Especially not mint green, they always give the dark skin girl purple hair. I want a dark skin doll with pastel hair so bad. LOL OMG Surprise is the only line bold enough to do that and I wish RH or Barbie would.

YOu can get your doll and take everything you dont like off and then you have a lot of stuff to put on other dolls- sell them exchange them with friends or collect them- Like there are people that collect purses? or shoes?
