This week, Anthony gets acquainted with a car he knows absolutely nothing about: The 1986 Subaru XT Turbo GL-10 Coupe! Probably best-known as predecessor to the famously-weird Subaru SVX (Alcyone) of the 90's, this funky wedge-shaped coupe from the synth era is an absolute time-capsule!
This future RADwood contender was picked by Carson who, for his birthday, decided to journey all the way from Illinois to Washington state with a truck & trailer just to get his very first car!

@@carsonsteneck7937 I know this was a year ago but dude you’re AWSOME. You remind me so much of myself. I’m 15 1/2 and I’ve been detailing cars since age 12 when Covid kicked in. And I just bought my first car had to go get it with a trailer, a 1986 2 tone blue Toyota Camry liftback 5 speed manual. It’s so cool. Paid $750 with my own money saved up from detailing. We’re both young detailing & car teens and we both have 1986 cars. So cool. But you’re probably in the US and I’m in British Columbia Canada. So it’s been a year since you got the car, how has it been owning it since then? Those are super rare special cars, I can almost GUARANTEE you’re the only teenager in the United States (if you live there) that owns a Subaru XT coupe. Seriously dude I can’t wrap my head around how you were able to find a car like that at a young age. I guess as young car guys we tend to stumble into incredible crazy cars at random times. Hopefully you’re still enjoying the car, if you still are, what are your plans for it in the future? Preserve it, feature in car shows, etc? I just think it’s super cool dude all these cool things you’re doing. You’re gonna inspire a TON of young car guys with this. Really amazing. Cheers, Blake

I love my 87 XT 2WD 5 speed, I think I have the rarer trim, bone stock, no: back seats, passenger side mirror, power steering, fog lights, sun roof, fancy air suspension, no problems, still running strong, also I’m pretty sure I know the old guy he bought this XT from,

Anthony said the car was “too dirty for rinseless” but also has stated that rinseless is for dirty cars? And there’s also multiple TRC videos pushing that idea? Just seems very inconsistent and odd
