Falsebound Kingdom is actually pretty fun later on. It's very slow and the start is so lame due to how weak your guys are. If your monster has more stars, he can use more attacks. You get stars leveling up. They don't tell you that though, like all Yu-Gi-Oh spin offs

I don't blame him for thinking Falsebound kingdom wasn't that good, it's a game meant to be played multiple times as there's a ton of later-game content. I thought it was bad as a kid but after replaying and unlocking other stuff the game improved immensely.

I just gotta say that the Yugioh game soundtracks were awesome (specifically Forbidden Memories, Duelists of the Roses, and The Falsebound Kingdom). There’s no reason a card game should have music that great.

capsule monsters and duelist of the roses played a big part in my childhood. Along with DBZ BT 2 and Sonic Riders.

I remember playing the dungeon dice monsters GBA game a lot. Think I almost completed the whole dice collection at one point. I still can't believe how hardcore kid me was to power through that slog of a game.

Fun fact: it's the series creator, Kazuki Takahashi, that came up with the idea of card games on motorcycles, 'cause he didn't want 5D's to be just yet another sequel.

*I owned almost all of these games.* I played through Falsebound kingdom like a dozen times, collected all the monsters and shit. Every monster has an “orb” who’s color slowly shifts to match the unit’s leader with use, the closer the color, the more its base stats are enhanced. Also fights are determined by points, the only difference between winning and losing is that your unit is stunned for 5 seconds, which means literally nothing when everyone moves this fucking slowly. Basically declaring an attack is instantly worth 100, and you get more points for dealing more HP damage and defeating enemy monsters. Guarding also awards smaller amounts of points. The weaker monsters also tend to scale better later in the game because they get more actions per combat than stronger ones. I can’t believe I know that. Ultimately the appeal is literally just in making combinations of monster units that you like. And also in spamming the cheat code that gives you free cash and has a Japanese dude scream “YU-GI-OH!”

Ok I thought Duelist of the roses was ok but i played a lot more of Yu-Gi-Oh GX tag force evolution on ps2, that game was really neat.

Yeah Falsebound Kingdom is really slow at the start. For those of you wondering, the battle ends when each monster uses up their action points (the stars), and then the winner is determined by a point system. You get 100 for attacking, 1 for every point of damage you do, 250 for blocking, a bunch if the enemy hits a blocking guy and does no damage, and more. You can see the points by holding the Start button.

Duelists of the Roses and Falsebound Kingdom were fun. Hell as a kid I even made a custom board to play a Duelist of the Roses variant with regular cards since I enjoyed it so much. Honestly they are great spin-off games, there are plenty of main stream Yugioh card games, they were a nice change of pace.

Yo duelist if roses was my shit I love that game I played through it last year and I think it held up and that soundtrack is actually amazing like way better than the game deserves look up the themes for vs Yorkist and vs Lancastrians

You dislike DDM because you refused to read the manual or look up a guide, you dislike DotR because of the historical references, and dislike the 5Ds one because you're bad at it? I watched the whole video and this is what it seems like to me.

I still play GBA Yugioh games on a GBA emulator on my phone. Tried some of the DS and later ones but something about the GBA ones is just TIGHT.

In Falsebound Kingdom you gain points for each action you do (you can see them by holding down the start button), Like for an attack you get 100 points + however much damage you do, Defending reduces your points plus 50, you get just a mess of points if you kill one of your opponent's monsters, if an attack misses the target gains 500 points, etc Whoever has the most points after all the action counters are used is the winner.

This was a fair video. If I revisited most of these games as an adult I would be significantly less inclined to finish any of them. With Duel Links out it is easy to get your YGO fix any time of any day. As someone that 100%ed Falsebound Kindgom not once, but thrice when I was a teenage boy with nothing but time on my hands, it took me a while to realize that battles are timed. The top right hand corner has the timer, so if you find the time to revisit this game, that may help. The game really opens up once you get more characters. There’s something canonically satisfying about controlling the Flame Swordsman as Joey, Buster Blader with Yugi, and all 3 BEWDs with Kaiba. You’re one of my favorite channels and I look forward to every upload.

If you go into duelist of the roses and type in the code for the pumpkin king of ghosts, you can absolutely tank every enemy in the game

with all of those spin off.. I agree with ya.. capsule monster and duelist of rose are the most enjoyable compare to the other title... even duelist of rose got weird story.. but I spend most of my time collection all cards in that game when I was a kid... xD

I remember playing PS's Forbidden Memories as a kid as think "how am I supposed to know what these Saturn-stuff things mean or how these fusions work?". That's a game I never managed to beat.

The falsebound Kingdown was one of my favorite games growing up, and the answer for why I sat through it is the discovery of new monsters and items, new powers upon level up, and the satisfaction of seeing my numbers rise as well as the elation of unlocking an outrageously powerful monster that puts even the blue eyes ultimate to shame. Which I will not spoil here.

Can't wait for the Yugioh rendition of the Cold War, where the entire play area consists of face down trap cards and defense position monsters, called Yugioh TD (Theory of Deterrence)

Falsebound Kingdom was pretty fun when I was younger honestly. I enjoyed playing with the monsters in 3D and watching them grow stronger. A lot of shit was hidden and yeah also cryptic but it was fun to explore everything and find all the secrets and formulate the best monster team comps with characters. Monster balance was sorta off though and the equip weapons were really busted strong but it was cool to see weaker monsters being really powerful vs their normal card counterparts. If I tried to play it now yeah it'd probably be really slow for my taste but the slow game play reminds me of other relaxing slow paced games such as Harvest Moon so I could see myself randomly giving it another go because I remember playing it a lot.

YGO The Falsebound Kingdom... I remember cheesing the last boss by entering the fight, attacking with my 2 first characters and fleeing with the last one before it was the egyptian god turn to attack and destroy me. I swear they made it this way on purpose because the game was too hard otherwise. Except once you can load 3 egyptian gods lvl99 in your inventory and roll over everything later. BTW the battle ends when nobody has any more stars to attack. You can see the score of the battle by pressing a button, don't remember which one. The duelist with the highest score (damaging and killing your opponent's monsters increase your score) wins the battle.

I played most of them and your opinion is not only unpopular, but fastly approaching factually inaccurate. Especially about DoTR.

I actually loved playing these games. I liked how it wasn’t the formulaic (and sometimes dull) system that the new games seem to wanna keep doing. I can kinda understand how you feel about these, but in all honesty I’d kinda prefer playing these games than play any of the new video games Yugioh has made.

So, Falsebound Kingdom is one of the hardest games I've ever played, and I say this as a big fan of RTS games. There's a battle against Bakura I think that I must have tried 50 times. Didn't have guides or anything, just kept running out of time, it was insane. Never got any further. Liked the game a little as a kid too, probably wouldn't anymore. Also, no mention for Reshef of Destruction? That one was brutal.

I LOVED Yu-gi-oh Duelist of The Roses, Falsebound Kingodm, and Capsule Monster Colosseum! I grew with those in particular ☺

Destiny board traveler was actually easy to understand you move spaces depending on the level of the monster. If you land on a monster space (which is 90 percent of the game) you fight the monster (that’s if you can play it mostly if it’s a level 1-4 monster. If it’s a level 5-6 or a 7-8 you’ll need to tribute monsters that you have already placed on the board which is already confusing seeing how you need to collect a set number of stars to win the game and you get stars depending on the monsters level fuck me this is hard to understand

Which monsters had multiple animations in duelist of the roses? And your critique is annoying cuz it feels like you don't want to admit you like something that's odd and a little weird so you keep ridiculing it to not seem odd either.

I actually enjoyed the falsebound kingdom as a kid, but also I was starved for games because my family was pretty poor.

Yugioh the duelists of the roses, forbidden memories and capsule monsters were my favourites. Mai is rocking an epic black leather outfit in capsule monsters PS2, no wander yugi almost lost to her, she knows his weakness.....

Duelist of Rose. I don't know why, but I enjoyed the game. I did sheath it for 3 years when I got it as I kept losing and had no patience. Tried it again and enjoyed it well enough. Though I can't remember why I beat the game first on Kiba's side, finding it lore interesting. Love the BGMs of the game.

Duelist of the Rose Is one of the most entertaining YGO games out there. Not only EVERY monster received multiple animations as stated, giving plenty of reasons to collect all of the cards. But also, after you beat the game at one side, it’s possible to immediately play for the other side, with all of your cards and points. Think of this as a New Game +. Tip if you’re interested, for a first playthrough, I recommend siding with Yugi, because you’re given two options as your first enemy, Weevil and Rex, while o. Kaiba side, you get only Téa. And it’s like that, with Yugi, every victory normaly opens 2 other oponente, while Kaiba only 1. Depending on your starting deck and farming options, you get stuck easily, I swear, It took 5 days for 10 YO me to get pass Mai In my Kaiba first run, because all of my cards were at a disadvantage at mountain terrain, and the previous oponents didn’t offer much to counter it.

Yugioh forbidden memories on the ps1 was good . Cryotic played it and it was close to the actual card game as you just duel. And legacy of the duelist on ps4 was also good. Also duel links is on mobile and is somewhat fun.

Falsebound Kingdom was actually fun to me. Especially after learning the mechanics of it all. It's a treat to re-visit the game after beating it once because WOW you keep all your unlocked items from the last play-through. Makes the game a fucking cakewalk when you start over.
