He really did! He smiles A LOT (even in the novel and the audio drama) after reuniting with his beloved Wei Ying and spending time with him. It's because he got him back I guess 😭😭

@@h.sanasputri1148 actually, in the novel, LWJ was happy after he was reunited with WWX but he only smiled once (which was in the temple after WWX confessed his love to him). LWJ’s smile was only described once, like “sunlight on snow” or something like that, and everyone was super shocked. This donghua s3 has the most LWJ smiles of all the adaptations right now!

My heart aches for xichen. Guangyao was his bestfriend, trusted him like how Lan zhan trust Wei Ying but Guangyao ended up as murderer. Guangyao never intentionally hurt him too. Like, even from the start, xichen's the only exception from all his monstrous activities. :(

I really really really wished a happy ending for jin zixuan, yanli and their son jin ling. After ending the novel i was so disheartened for jin ling. Seeing him trying to handle the whole sect's situation on his own made my heart ache. All three of them deserved so much more. Truly unfair.

Why did I think that Lan Xichen knows that it's Wei Ying all along when he and Lan Zhan went together investigate. I mean Lan Xichen knows how to read his bro and he knows perfectly that his brother never went on a trip bringing an outsider with him etc. It can be the case bc he literally tell LZ that he seem happy after he bring "Mo Xuanyu" and also he doesn't seems shock when Wei Ying was exposed to have come back or questioning like others in the novel where he also didn't even stop his brother to follow Wei Ying after things get complicated.

@@jellyfishbeans94I'd ask "how could Jiang Cheng use his sword and his wip since he has wwx's golden core?" So I'd say probably the most plausible thing: Mo Xianyu's golden core became Wei Wuxian's new one. Since Mo Xianyu gave up his body to Wei Wuxian, wwx just had to 'adopt' mxy's golden core, and so he can use both his old sword and maybe a possible weapon of mxy, just like Jiang Cheng could use his own weapons and also unshield Suibian later on

I believe in the novel there was mention there was a differences being that he possessed the body. With the animation there is actually difference between his past self and his current appearance. With the live action that is understandable he didn't possess the body at all, he was resurrected and no one in that manor really saw Mo yuan face. Because once his face was revealed everyone was shocked to see him alive versus the animation where pulling out the sword makes everyone realize he is wie xuian. I hope this clears up any confusion.

The only person who can touch their forehead ribbon are their parents and significant partner. They also tie it to the person they betrothed(?) and/or in marriage ceremony. (This is my only personal knowledge in what I have read in the novel).

As far as I know, the headband means their self retain moto and is almost a sacred object for them. They only take it off or allow it to be touched by their special person (and their parents I think) so the fact that Wei Ying was touching and taking it off non stop since they meet has a lot of meaning. Specially when Lan Zhan tied Wei Wuxian's hands with it since he's basically proclaiming "He's my life partner/lover" or "He's mine" to everyone who knows the meaning of the headband. (Sorry if there's anything misspelled, my maine language is Spanish.)

The reason why it’s not crystal clear is because the meaning of the headband is that the person who touches it is the only person the wearer can be unrestrained with aka their lover. In China, this would confirm that Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji are gayyy and because China has censorship of all gay content they are not allowed/able to say it specifically
