@@ayer1420 because Wwx is in no Xuan you'd body, he is using his sword with mo Xuan Yu's spiritual energy. In his original body, Wwx won't be able to use the sword

He was like :not again; if something happens to Wei Ying, WangJi will suffer even more. And when JinLing stabbed him, everyone was shocked, even Meng Yao. And i also noticed the pain in JiangCheng's eyes when Wei Ying says the boy stabbed the same place as his uncle in the past. In the book, when then duel outside of Burial mounds, Wei Ying is stabbed in the lower left side of the abdomen and JiangCheng has one of his arms or hands broken for an entire month. We can all agree that a stab is worse than a broken hand. I swear, people all around JinLing made him hate Wei Ying. Had his mom (YanLi) lived, she would have told him about how Wei Ying really was. And, very important, she didn't hate Wei Ying for losing control of Wen Ning (the framing was added only in the drama and animation, in the book he really loses control and then his sanity is mostly shattered.

I love this scene, because Lan Zhan shows just how much he still deeply regrets not being there for Wei Ying, all those years ago, when the Sects declared a seige against him, based off of false accusations and baseless rumours. This scene, shows that he'll protect Wei Ying in the way he feels as though he failed to. Even, at the risk of being injured, killed, or labled as a traitor

JC's only friend was Wei Ying, and he lost him because of their unfortunate events. Wei Ying doesn't have many friends, but those he does, are very loyal, like Wen Ning or the Lan juniors. Lan Zhan is his husband, bff, personal bodyguard and sugar daddy.

Is anyone else confused on how he got stabbed in the front when jin ling is clearly next to him, but in the next shot lwj pushes him away and jinling is now in front of wwx

He was stabbed on the left to front side of the abdomen, basically the sword entering an maybe a 75° angle. But it could also be a mistake and they didn't re shoot the scene. In the animated series, Jin Ling stands in front of him and does the stabbing, the sword has straight line trajectory and pierces more (aka the wound is deeper and more serious) than the stab in this scene.

You need to go back to when WWX had the group of refugees sheltering in the burial mounds. He was talking to baby Yuen, but being loud for LZs benefit explaining why he chose to stay. LZ could walk his broad safe roads, but WWX would take the narrow bridge until he met the darkness. It goes back to the promises they made at the lantern festival.
