That's way I keep thinking if Wei Wuxian heart is purely evil to begin with he can be someone more terrifying than what they potray him to be. Sadly he was kind to begin with so the demonic cultivation control him unconsciously, he can't control his emotions from time to time and end up the cultivation was eating him alive 😔

@@noa-ix9pe no, the reason why he was corrupted was because of the Stygian Tiger Amulet, not because of demonic cultivation itself. Take notice, so many people use his techniques and his rituals but are never corrupted-this is because they don’t have the amulet. That was what made him turn dark-because it contained the resentment of the spirits that were killed using the Yin Iron. The same is true in the novel and the donghua, except without the Yin Iron. That’s reason why he has more control in the future, because he destroyed the first Stygian Tiger Amulet, this breaking his connection with its resentful energy, and the new one has a different owner, so he is unaffected by it.
