I share more about my purpose in creating this space for growth, speaking about trauma and how it affected me sexually/spiritually. Having hate in my heart caused a block in my ability to love, but through inner work and forgiveness I was able to overcome those feelings.
Thank you so much for being here and joining the conversation. You’re welcome here, this is a safe place for vulnerability and love. Come grow with me.

IT'S SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU'RE DOING THIS! Men and sexual abuse is one of the last frontiers! It's just something a huge number of men have gone through, and hopefully that nagging feeling tells them to deal with it finally. As someone who's on the good side of all that , I want to be here for anybody who might need advice or maybe just an ear ! REACH OUT!

I’ve had to pray for people who hurt me in order to rid myself of the power their behavior had over me. My sponsor told me to pray even if and when I didn’t actually believe what I was praying for. Two weeks. Praying every day for two weeks to be rid of the fear, anger, shame, and whatever other heavy emotions that kept me weighed down works. Thank you for making these videos and for making a space for men and women to connect to their emotions and get healing.

I came home from my mom's house today and found my tv on in my bedroom with your SWU interview playing. I was immediately hooked and had to restart it from the beginning so I didn't miss anything. I've spent hours trying to find the right words to put here, but I'm not sure I can adequately articulate how deeply touching that interview was for me. From your conception, to your trauma, to your drug use, to present day, it became so clear to me how divine your existence is here on this Earth. I respect your ability to be honest, transparent, and your willingness to accept radical accountability for the more human moments you've had in regards to the "carnage" we sometimes leave behind. My life is better for having seen your interview. From one human to another, I love you, I'm proud of you, and you will help change the world.

Hi Jack, I just came across one of your videos and really glad I did. So sorry for the abuse you endured as a boy. I had a similar situation growing up. When I was 8 or 9, I too was molested by a family member who was male and I didn't really understand what happened or why but I had to deal with it for many years. Growing up I realizes I liked guys instead of girls. And I wondered for the longest time that being abused by a man made me gay. After years of therapy and many talks with other guys (both straight and gay), I know this was not the case as I believe I was born gay. I mean who would choose to by gay? But today, I'm an out proud gay man and I did forgive my abuser which made me feel free and a weight was lifted. I'm really glad you're here and I congratulate you on your efforts to help others. I also believe in love over hate. I just wish the world thought the way you and I now feel but hopefully someday the world will move closer to loving others. Thanks Jack. I look forward to watching many more of your videos (Btw, I hope you're not offended but you're a very handsome guy!)

You have a lot to offer people who are disconcerted, discouraged and suffering from anxiety and risk spiraling into substance abuse and social isolation. We all have childhood hurts, some worse than others. Sadly, social media has not brought us all together to share our common souls as one would think was its intention. Psychological trauma and addiction and the work in recovery launches us into empowerment and service to others. Kudos on your efforts and Good Luck. Keep your service your #1 focus.

Will be a year soon since i first talked about the sexual abuse i went through when i was 5 to 11 years old from older siblings. I am 67 year old man that is widowed for 15 years with 3 grown children in there 40s and 2 grand children. Listing to your talks is so similar to others that has p.t.s.d. from sexually trauma. You may never realize the help you offer by telling your story. I had some professional help past months as flash backs disrupt my life this past year from buried memories and trauma unresolved. I fill that the buried story from that little boy inside me is still trying to escape to be told. I am at a stall and decided to stop therapy and declare a more comfortable stage of my life at this time. I have not came across any one that had a life that been trauma sexually that has any idea what a normal life growing up was. I have great joy in knowing that my children grew up not having that trauma. I have a 17 year old grand son in jail for sexually abusing a 13 year old girl and this set of the flashbacks for me. Life has so many variables but we keep trudging along.

I can definitely relate here. I can definitely confirm that forgiving those who have hurt you isn't always easy but there is a freedom in letting go of what was done so that it no longer willingly affects how we move forward. It allows us to heal. I had my own experience with trauma in the home; things that were done that I will never get answers for, but it was an experience I personally had to confront and learn to let go. Hate and anger can twist our perceptions if we don't reign it in and the aftermath of how we sit in that rage can have lasting consequences on us that takes work to undo. I can definitely relate. The experiences have given me a different perspective in life that I am fully committed to. I see the value of genuine connections, intentional interactions, and pursuing a common ground of understanding. I see value in having people in your life you can be vulnerable with who are vulnerable with you and sharing in life with those who want to. They grow to know you as you grow to know them and there is an understanding that we are still growing and in that we encourage each other as we walk with each other in our live and seek out what is good and edifying to one another. It is also in those close relations that a word of loving correction is so valuable because it is sincerely to help us become better. It has been a journey to get to where I am at right now. So I believe I understand what you mean about post traumatic stress and the steps taken to confront what was done and working through the scars left on us. There is peace that comes with forgiveness and moving on. And there is grace when you have people to walk with you through it. That is what makes having people who genuinely walk with you important. We bear one another up on the journey when the walk gets rough, bearing each other's burden until our strength returns and those moments become the bonds that strengthen us to keep moving forward. Thanks for Sharing Jack. This was a good word.

What I was taught is: You will deal with it. Sooner or later, you will deal with it, whether it is with a sponsor, counselor, or therapist. Walking through the pain gives an understanding, a new freedom, where you will have empathy for others, and you will know how to lead others out of the darkness that permeates their lives. The how and why I ended up having a negative experience eludes me. It just happened, and it no longer owns me, and doesn't trigger a response should I think about it.

Jack, your channel's first five videos have helped more people than the dozens of other channels dedicated to the issues you cover here. You mentioned that you are not proud of how you used your good looks to get what you needed. Now, you are using that asset in a good way, whether you are aware of it or not. Your videos draw people in because they can't imagine that such a good-looking guy has had the traumatic experiences you have. It takes a lot of courage to sit down and expose your vulnerabilities in such a raw and visceral way. You have inspired me to share my life experiences on KZfaq. In particular, I want to share my experiences with prostate cancer. I should be the poster boy for what can happen if the cancer is caught early. After several years, I have pretty much fully recovered. All things considered, I function pretty well sexually for a 60-year-old man. My primary purpose will be to stress the importance of men getting yearly PSA tests after age 40. Thank you! I encourage you to continue your excellent work on this channel. I can tell how difficult it is for you to share your experiences, but I hope getting the bad feelings out there will eventually free you!

How great thank you. Getting sick of hating is great. I find a back & forth roller-coaster up & down w/it. So much freedom in releasing the hate. When someone said "Hate is a way of holding on", I thought oooh count me out. Re technology, I'm outa the box. I'm inept with all devices, can barely handle this android phone. On zero social media unless you count this. More than a mental block, there's a disruption of hand-to-eye coordination right side. Possibly from a bad head bump in year one. I would go easy on yourself re tech glitches. In awkwardness is more authenticity. I wrote an email to you, my phone would not accept your adderess lol. Your comments re trauma are totally Right on! Yeah I'm as shell shocked as a veteran, can happen to a 1 yr old. My lower body likewise experienced crap. Childhood was an NDE. I couldn't pairbond, had to resign from dating. Insanely i continue to fall in love. What a nuisance, lol

Hi, Jack…. I just ran up on you & thought I would take a look & see what was going on. I appreciate you doing this channel. I do have friends but not completely unbiased(or so I think). I’m afraid of what my friends would say if they knew how I really & felt about some things. I had a near death experience a couple years ago. I haven’t really talked to anyone I care about in what I experienced because I don’t even know if they’ll understand where I’m coming from. I’m really interested in seeing some additional videos from you & maybe we can talk about my experiences when I was sick. Thank you for what you do. Hopefully I’ll see you again real soon. things. I had something pretty horrible happen a couple years back

can relate. you're a good-looking person who would have no problem getting social approval or attention from women, so I'm curious how those dark experiences have affected your perception of self-image and worth and the quality of your relationships. would be great if you could elaborate on that. thank you for sharing your stories. have a good one.

@@jackdoherty1412 I hope he was reported that’s inappropriate for his position. However understand if you want to move on not rehash. 😔. I had a similar experience younger, makes me wonder if it set me up for a road of addiction and bad r/ships. I don’t know that answer or if it was just me and being in wrong crowds. I also became very promiscuous , I felt like I was ok for one nighters I never got rejected was easy , I’m sure I hurt others treating them like I was treated it’s almost like abuse back , but it felt empty and it makes me cringe looking back now I’m In my 50s I value people more and I’m not that person .
