I got the biggest beating of my lifetime there . It almost killed me . So much power . Real Ocean . That was in 2005 . Definitely the most powerful water I’ve ever experienced. The locals were killing it , they grew up surfing there so it’s like 2nd nature to them . Much respect.

This has to be one of the best KZfaq videos I have ever seen. A beautiful little town and Waialua was just my favorite place on Oahu. All the surfboard factories at The Old Sugar Mill in Waialua.

I almost drowned there in the winter of 68. If I hadn’t been a California beach lifeguard I’m sure I would have panicked I died. Loved the left on the other side of the harbor.

I hate localism I grew up in Costa Mesa surfed Newport point all the jetty’s and wedge since I was 8 years old and I would never want to make anyone feel like they don’t belong. Sure it’s annoying to get snaked by kooks but I always felt like if that happened God would send an even better wave if I jus let the anger go. I’ve surfed in Hawaii twice in my life and both times i felt the hate and locals only vibe.
