One up for Omar Mustapha Ong. I have always been wondering "why is Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University" is aptly named after Lady Margaret? Was the late British Prime Minister Margaret Thacher a student of the hall named after her?

+mustapha ong abdullah LMH is named in honour of Lady Margaret Beaufort, the mother of Henry VII, founder of the Tudor dynasty and renowned patron of scholarship and learning - www.lmh.ox.ac.uk/About-LMH/College-history.aspx

Another question in my mind...why are there so many bicycles in Oxford, compared to other Universities including Cambridge and Warwick?
@LMHOxford6 жыл бұрын
Oxford is a very flat city, so great for cyclists. Bikes are a cheap and easy way to get around - a good green choice and a traditional mode of transport in both Oxford and Cambridge. Because of this tradition, we probably have more cycle lanes than many cities - though many people feel, not enough!
