He’s literally one of the worst defenders since he came into the league. He has the tools but hasn’t put it together on that end of the floor at all. I was just reading an article and it was not very flattering of him on defense.

Rui is a better defender than Kuzma or Bogdanovich, 2 players the Lakers could have traded for, the guy is 6’8 with a 7’2 wingspan and he is athletic, he can’t be worst than Kendrick Nunn lol at least we have size now

@Frankie the Frog can't be worse than K Nunn. Honestly he just needs good coaching and leadership and that's something Wizards don't have. He will watch a lot of film and try to improve as best as he can and will take criticism a lot better than Kuzma. He has had a rough 4 seasons not knowing what his role is and being in and out of starting lineups. He really is gonna explode playing with Russ again and will have a lot more fun here even if Lakers don't win anything.

People don't know how good and legit the Lakers are. This guy makes them even better. The reason Lakers were losing close games and LeBron needing to drop 30+ points is because Lonnie Walker is out, and Austin Reaves, and AD. Even with Lonnie Walker and Austin Reaves, Lakers were winning those close games. The last 35 games, Lakers are 20-15. They started out the season on the wrong foot (2-10 start). And they are not far behind playoffs teams despite all the close games loses. When this team is healthy, this Lakers team can make run

@@FTHWorldWide The suns were 4th seed before DBook's injury, and you see what happened. 38 y.o. LeBron and Street Clothes are too fragile for these kind of runs to be consistent. And even then, the roster isn't good enough to go beyond the first round. So, not sure what there is to be excited about. If both stars were the 2017/18 version of themselves, it would be a different story entirely.

One thing I missed about Rui's game is the fast breaks. Wizards under WUJ are one of the slowest teams in the league, always walking the ball up half court. It's going to be good seeing him run the floor again.
