BACKPACKING THAILAND 🇹🇭EPISODE 22 (SERIES FINALE)📍RAILAY
And so I made it to my final destination in Thailand before flying onto Australia and it might just be my favourite! In this vlog, I take you to Railay which is a super popular backpacking destination on the west coast of Thailand. You can only reach the little town by boat and when you are arrive, there is lots to do! We hung out on Phra Nang beach, went rock climbing and hiked to the famous lagoon. I stayed at the only hostel in town called Blanco Hideout and watched the sunset every night on Railay West beach. What an amazing last few days in Thailand.

Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

I've been following Chris Parker/Retired Working For You since a few months after he started the channel in 2020. (It went from zero to 100k in nothing flat!) He does "payback" videos where he works with locals in different Thai locations to give away all the money he makes from KZfaq to the community, and his subscribers donate too. Cool guy!

Hi! I did the climb to the lagoon in Railey in 2019 so precovid times. We were the only ones there too but that might have been because it was raining all morning and we went in the late afternoon and it was drizzling so it was very slipery. Luckily, I had trekking boots on. Also, we didn't find the last rope ladder to go down the lagoon itself so after everything we had to go back without seeing it. Now, I know where it is if I ever go back there. Also, I stayed in Tonsai which is next to it and we had to climb over rocks to get to Railay everyday. I have some incredible memories about my time there too!

So sad to see your vlogs ending! I’ve been travelling Thailand at the same time as you and actually met you in Khao Sok a few months ago, and I also climbed with the same guide in Railay, he was such a funny guy! Moving on to Cambodia tomorrow, but heading to Australia too this December!

This whole series reminded me of the several backpacking trips I've done in Thailand, complete with the highs and lows. Felt a lot of nostalgia watching and this last episode feels a lot like the ending of my own trips. Guess I can't be too sad as I'm off to Bali in 2 weeks for a new adventure!
