Hi HoodVlogs. I’m new to the channel, but definitely respect the mission of giving people an opportunity to share their truths about where they’re from. If you ever think about highlighting other complexes in Brooklyn Cooper, Marcy, Bushwick, Pink Houses, Williamsburg are other areas. I’m sure they all have stories to share too. Peace and blessings to all in every neighborhood. New subscriber.

I left "Brooklyn" but it did not leave me I learned a lot in "Brooklyn" it is a different learning compared to other area in The Boroughs. You have to have the money to do that. In America black people don’t have that. The people coming and taking shit over , who are not black have the money. Gentrification is good when they preserve some affordability in the process allows for all walks of life to improve together. However , urban gentrification is dead. A lot of mortgages taken out in the suburbs. For the time being it’s reversed and white flight has occurred again.

My dad's furniture studio is in red hook so I got to know the area pretty good even though I'm from downtown Brooklyn. Red hook has a special vibe, it's got the salt air from the ocean and lowkey at night even though it's so close to the city. People are in general more laid back and less wound up but the projects can still get active sometimes. I think you should hit Far Rockaway. It's a community that was hit hard from hurricane sandy and has a bad reputation for crime but like all hoods got some dope people out there. It's on the south shore so you got a mix of surf shops and Caribbean soul food joints. No neighborhood like it.

@@SkoolBoiDon I liked your comment, however I do agree that we have to do better for ourselves on the unified tip. We Can’t always afford to wait for a loan, especially when we really deserve Reparations. Sometimes we just need grassroots leadership, to find out what businesses we can infiltrate inside our own communities & then take them over, just like they do to us, & we call it “Culture Appropriation.” Then We need be very polite & business like, while Boycotting these non black, & foreign businesses, who don’t contribute anything back into the Hood that they exploit. Say what you want about the NOI, but when he was alive, Khalid Abdul Muhammad used to go around to all of these neighborhood stores with the FOI, & collect money from these Non Black Businesses, especially the Arab Muslims. The ones who didn’t give up no bread, got put on full blast & boycotted, simple. Every example for us to rise again as a People has BEEN HERE! We’ve just been so FRAGMENTED AND SPLIT UP AS A PEOPLE, THAT WE CANT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR GREATNESS.

Nice view at 9:03 from the rooftop, and this is where they would view the fireworks every 4th of July. I remember seeing the fireworks from the Red Hook Houses where the neighbors just set them off, and even showed the fireworks occasionally. The only time I remember was June 10th, 1991 where the fireworks went off in Lower Manhattan from the rooftop. That also brought back memories.

Sadly they buggin out there right now though and its a shame whats going on. We gotta do better ya. Its just sometimes the hood seems like it has a dark cloud over it. Yeah, well also we are in this social media age now So any video that is made almost has the same feel....without interviewing anybody & just going to all these spots without a camera you will get a completely different vibe, everybody in this generation are social media whores back before the 2000’s we actually went outside to get into shit BUT in this generation these kids go out to do interviews & talk about the area without doing anything but just talking.

@@ChanceHannCocc Im pretty sure he's only gonna do one neighborhood per borough depending on where he has connections. After a while it would get watered down if he does every single neighborhood in every single borough. You gotta remember he's originally from LA and he's only passing through NY. He doesnt have time for all of that.
