I recently discovered this song and died laughing at just how chaotic this song is, and I identified with it quite a lot in some ways as my brain works in a similar way, switching from one thing to the next faster than i myself can keep track of! I had to cover it myself, and I definitely loved channeling my own inner chaotic demon while singing it! I hope you all enjoy!

I love the difference between this and the original. The original feels much more sinister, leaning into the corruptive nature of the internet. In this cover, you can hear the smile in your voice throughout the song, which makes the song feel even more crazy and manic than usual.

There's also the slight differences in the wording that shows up in every variation of this. The original I'm pretty sure mentioned any famous women's feet. This version specified feed. This version is also very well done tho.

Bo Burnham’s version was more “I’m gonna fuck you up”. This version is more “I’m fucking you up with me” and is a lot more chaotic. Not bad

@@theloop-ist Hmm, I don't know, Bo Burnham's villain seems to be the "watch the world burn" type. An apathetic source of chaos, just here to be entertained, and enable your desires, whatever it may be. You want to be a paragon fighting for civil rights? "Go ahead, darling! Here's a platform to scream your morals out." You're lustful for women's feet? "Oh, I've got quite the catalogue. Please, help yourself!" Doesn't strike me as someone who'd be fearing what he created. He'd just find it amusing, and simply reinforce it. He is Malicious Encouragement, the personification of the Internet, no matter your goal, your alignment, good or evil, virtuous or atrocious, he will simply provide. From the mundane to the extreme, he cares not what you seek, only that you do so. And he does it all with a gentle voice and a manic grin. Like he'd welcome his own death as he finds it amusing as well.

Bo Burnham's version reminds me of a carnival barker, enticing you into it and keeping you distracted as the darkness amps up. The internet as corruption. In your version, it's more like the internet talking about itself, driven around the bend by what we "designed it to do" and now just completely mad. I like it!

there are two types of covers i like which is changing the perspective of the song to other gender or making the song have an entirely different vibe which this is definitely the latter and I love it. My description of the differences is OG is if internet is a person and this is if your friend is trying to drag you down the internet rabbit hole.

This song’s a difficult one to cover, since so much of the meaning and best parts of at least the first part of the song are so dependent on exact inflection and tone, but I think you did really well with this one! It sounds the same, but different, if that makes any sense.

What I really love about this cover is how you perfectly embody the spirit of the internet. If the internet had a soul, it would be most definitely be relishing in how fucked up it is, on a conceptual level.
