I'm predicting this expansion will add more scope to the 'ascension path' system, maybe including an origin to start with cybernetics, or even a whole new ascension path (like a spiritual awakening for machine gestalts)?

I'm hoping for full on religion mechanics. Maybe in a similar vein to how civics work. Being spiritualist with no religion just feels lacking.

Please use some of that sweet DLC money you guys have accumulated over the years and create a Stellaris anthology series akin to Love, Death + Robots. That would be amazing. These trailers get me hooked onto stories I'll never get to experience and characters I'll never see again.

This expands on a really interesting concept, that I was really wanting to see for a while now. In sci-fi, there is no reason for galactic empires to abide by any external regulation whatsoever, the only reason you can't break a truce, exploit resources to the absolute maximum as machines, use overpowered technology and etc is purely because of game balancing, and limits to the game's scope. This idea, expands so much on the concept of unhinged, galactic threats spawning out of empires in a way that feels much more meaningful than the previous player crisis, and genocidal empires, since one just wants to explode the galaxy for... some reason? and the others still abide by the game's balancing to not be overpowered. This seems like a more reasonable goal of just conquering and assimilating everything in the galaxy, for the reason of machine directives, and unbound by the game's usual laws. I can't wait for this DLC.

I don't know if it's the same but the species in the trailer and the one from Keides heavily resemble the "Humanoid #3" portrait, which I love! That was my first Stellaris species back in 2018, I associate them with the "Yldar" randomized name and even after all these years I keep playing with them💙

The fact that we have not gotten a space opera sci-fi anthology show akin to Love, Death, & Robots for Stellaris in which each episode focuses on a specific empire seems like a massive missed opportunity.

I kinda wish paradox produced a game set within the Stellaris universe that delved a little deeper into one nation within an empire that broke free from their rule, or eventually succumb to, basically being able to focus on the events of one particular world through time, instead of being able to keep tabs on multiple empires, and each decision made would change the ending of a story. And subsequent playthroughs you could start on a different planet with a different pop, for worse or better advantage. I just like how these trailers have little stories to be told in each one, as if this could a different kind of game. I do still like playing stellaris but sometimes now I can only play it for about 15 minutes before I'm over it and switch to another game.

I would love to play spiritualist robots, it would feel like these Ai priests from The Creator

EDIT: ended up being another machine DLC which was expected.. tho its not focused on religions like its teased to be, tho there seems to be origins focused on cultist machines.
