In this video we look at some of the finest marbles for sale at the 2022 joint Northeast/Nutmeg Marble Show held on Oct. 9th 2022 in Meriden Connecticut.
We chat with some of the show’s vendors, discuss marble prices and look at several vintage marbles related items and games.
Some highlights you should want to view :
Vendor Jerry Biern shows us a group of extremely rare and valuable 1800’s hand-made glass German Griner marbles which are not often seen in the states.
Interviews with The Marble Universe’s Dick Belmont, Ben Michael and Ritchie Bonaiuto. Ritchie and Morgan Bonaiuto show us their dug marbles and cullet items excavated from a recent 14 factory marbles dig tour in West Virginia and Ohio.
We chat with Northeast / Nutmeg show organizers David Lenz, Alphy Bard and Robert Block of Block’s Marble Auctions. There’s a L.E. Alley III cameo!

Thank you so much! I just found a jar marked 1967 filled with a ton of beauties, pne was very small and wooden! Anyways, I'm glad to have found your valuable wealth of knowledge and am excited to start losing my marbles over marbles 😂

Started collection during corona. As a european i would love to visit something like this. I think i already have a nice collection, unfortenately only european ones, Dutch, German and French.

Nice story Michel ! There’s some wonderful European marbles out there,especially those tasty German handmades. I would love to see what you’ve been collecting. Hopefully there will be marble shows in your country someday! Thanks for sharing

I started getting my marbles in the mail today. I have them housed in Michaels Craft storage containers. First off to really appreciate them is shine a flashlight on them. I also sat outside (rare sunny warm day for Pittsburgh). Several dealers sent me a few freebies, one of which looks like a round horse pill. I was looking at Akro Mil storage drawers. I think what I have for a small apt. will do. I'll buy a few more storage trays at Michaels. I appreciate your videos. The one's I like are hard to find.

Beautiful collection of Greniers (commonly mistakenly attributed as "Leighton transitionals") and Navarres. I'd really enjoy a video looking into early and transitional hand gathereds.

Marbles are so addictive especially the cool vintage ones. You know a hood marble jewler by chance Wanting to buy my wife and mother a few pieces but wanting some of the better stuff that won’t turn colors when wore

Hi Old School , I don’t really know anyone personally that I can recommend. You do see marble jewelry at shows , I would think Etsy has some marbles artisans.

Greetings from Houston Texas, Wow I recently just took up Marble Collecting and have yet to see a Cobra I have a marble that looks like the one the gentleman was showing, I purchased it in a jar that was with almost all Christensen Marbles. I am wondering if it could be one? Thank You for this educational video, as I look forward to hunting for more Marbles.

Hi Joe , his had very full coverage. Most show a lot more clear glass. I’ve only seen a handful and they were from very seasoned collectors. Hopefully you can hunt one down.

Do you know Dave Snow? He bought a bunch of Peltier shooters made in Germany from me. I sold them for $20 each only to find out some are worth $300. So much for him being an honest buyer/dealer. One of my marbles was on eBay for $350. I had 115 shooters altogether. I wish I kept some.

I never heard of Peltier producing marbles in Germany, but I'm very sorry for you, I hope you can recover some:)

Please do a video on how to store the marble collections and where to get dimpled foam and is it okay to store them in Plano containers. I bought a few plastic one's at Michaels craft store.

Hi Eric ,I’ll put that topic on my list. A lot of collectors use Riker cases. You see them in many of these videos.
