i honestly agree that zootopia did it better, and honestly the zootopia gondola backstory bit hit me hard..... it sadly reminded me of when i was in school, funny enough it was the reverse, i was one of the few white kids in school (and where i lived since most of the people from school lived in my area) so i was bullied alot (one time even being gagged while they beat) for that and constantly told by teachers that i was beat and bullied because they believe i thought i was better, when in truth i always strived to be a good person, not to be better than anyone just because thats what i believe i should be doing. and thats why the zootopia bit hit so hard because unfortunately i had been through what he had even in school holidays i was too scared to leave the house..... honestly ........ i just wish everyone could just live together.... no bullies or cruddy people in any community..... because it's just not right.

My dad (white guy, but people thought he was latino a lot because he worked outdoors and had a tan) used to tell us kids that high school was the worst part of his life. One reason being that he dated a black girl at school for a while and a bunch of black guys at the school relentlessly bullied and teased him until they broke up, just because he wasn't black. I just assumed it was some old-school outdated opinions on interracial couples from a bygone era, but with race issues being pushed to the forefront lately, it's kinda depressing to see that people still have similar prejudices today and not only that, but people are grouping together and encouraging that kind of racist attitude.

Fear the day that whites become a minority in their own countries because this will be the experience nationwide. Just look at what's happening in South Africa and what happened in poor old Rhodesia. Seeing things along racial lines won't go away; it's a deep instinctual behavior and to get rid of it would be as difficult as to get rid of reflexively smiling when you see something cute (like a baby's face). When conditions are good, people won't care about race but when conditions worsen, (from a biological perspective) people will look for any reason to start being stingy with resources and race is one of first to be used.

I live in Japan and I’ve been stopped twice by the police just walking on the street for no reason. I look different and am general odd and insecure; I don’t blame them for flagging me and making sure I’m on the up-and-up, I just show them my shit, they realize I’m a legit resident who isn’t up to anything, and say “Thanks for your time.” Fair? Maybe not, but shit happens. People who are different get flagged more often. I don’t take it personally. Once violence gets involved, then it’s a problem. But as for the short film; yeah, I’ve been there, it sucks, but hanging out with my family also sucks; stubbing my toe sucks. Unless I’m injured, it’s really not a big deal.

@@samwallaceart288 I never understood this thing about being checked by the police. If they didn't do that, what would the point be of having documents and census? Being instantly recognizable and identifiable is exactly the point of the stuff you keep on your person, if nobody ever checked those, why even have them? I've been stopped I think only once in my life, and I was inside a bus stop building with my girlfriend at about 6 AM waiting for the runs to start and get a train and we looked like 2 hobos. Another time they stopped a friend I was with, because he was holding nonchalantly an 80cm bong, yet they just had him empty his bag and pockets and we were off. I totally understand the feeling of being constatly oversaw and being italian I just witnessed the (fortunately) utter failure of the "Immuni" application for the smartphone which supposedly helped track covid but definitely tracked everyone that would use it, but random police checks have always been perfectly legit in my book. In fact I think it would be nonsensical if never applied rendering my citizenship kinda worthless on the public ground while allowing anything to happen until a call is made.

When I was little my parents didn't have money. And while the town I lived in was mostly white at the time, the neighboring town was and still is mostly black. My brothers and I went to a predominately black pre-school. We all played together, but I understand the feeling of being a minority. Our High School was the same way. I believe it was close to 1/3 white, 1/3 black, and 1/3 Hispanic. There were cliques. Segregation doesn't have to be forced. It's odd how it creates itself. But, you see those barriers fall when people share common interests. The football team was mostly black but we all hung out. The wrestling team was mostly white, but we all hung out. You beat racism by common ground and by not making everything about race all the time.

For example, I went shopping with a white friend of mine who got served before me. The cashier gave him change directly into his hand, but when it came to me, she just dropped it on the counter for me to pickup. Was that her being racist or was that just something she did by chance? This was in Germany and she was some old white woman. I can't help but feel like a lot of the wokanda people have experienced similar things multiple times at various points in their life that now all they are seeing/looking for is racism, even when it's not there.

FYI: I'm black and African. It can be hard to tell. When greeting or interacting here, when greeting a respectful gesture can vary from absent if you are greeting a peer, to moderate if you are greeting someone moderately senior to very high if you are greeting a parent, traditional ruler and so on. Now the challenge is different people use varying criteria to consider if you are a peer, junior or senior and their gesture when greeting will reflect that. It can vary from age, marital status, economic status, position at church, if you are in formal or informal employment and so on. Of course you can ignore the person in future and the person will sense that they offended you and they can autocorrect or you tacitly agree not to greet each other in future. So my point is, even a Zambian to Zambian (black on black) interaction has issues of one person treating another person as if they are beneath them based on how they perceive them. And when a white person does this to a black person it is usually assumed to be racism when the person may just be a snob and may even invite you for tea if you were at the same social status.

I remember my mother being pulled over by a cop when I was fourteen. She had pulled past the white line near a stop sign because it was painted too far back and she couldn't see around the corner for incoming cars. I was sitting in the passenger seat and the cop asked for my I.D too. I have a feeling it was because I was staring at him, something that has gotten me in trouble with teachers all throughout my school years. I was told I have a "hard gaze", as if I was upset or was being challenging towards authority, when really I was just paying attention. To top it off, I had always been big for my age and growing quite a bit of facial hair. Maybe he thought I was an adult, maybe he felt intimidated, maybe he was just being a jerk. I'll never know. The difference in this case is that I'm white. We all were. You'll find all types in this world and you have no idea what they're thinking in that moment or what the rest of their day has been like leading up to it. To automatically attribute something to racism is to take all humanity out of the situation. To let paranoia, or worse, entitlement rule you, makes you no better than the things you claim to oppose, by imposing unfair authority on others who may not deserve it.

In hindsight, I realize my father had no idea about what I was experiencing because I never told him- he had to work off what he KNEW, he could make assumptions, but he would never know fact. The same goes for what some might call 'racist tendencies', that person could just be a downer, maybe a jerk, or they had a dark day- if they're staring into you, there could be alot more assumptions rather than just defaulting to racism.

Well according to the many black families that I know and talk to me about this this phenomena is due in part because blacks tend to be extremely anti white in inner cities and teach their children to be so my brother from another mother said growing up he knew more racist terms for all other races than what they where actually called thanks to his dad. @@BlackyboiDivs ...telling white kids they can't be victims of racism is how you get so many of them growing up being angry and pissed off at everyone. That's also how to get more people joining far right groups. We're supposed to be avoiding that. It doesn't help the conversation to muddy the water, and a big part of why we struggle to talk about simple things that shouldn't be that hard to grasp, like sexuality. You can't demonize an entire race of people and then complain about racism against your own. Maybe I read your comment wrong, but I'm not offended. I'm not even white. @@heavymetalpirate2463 Statistically being racially profiled while white is non existent my friend. When was the last time someone was killed or hanged for being white? For blacks it was 4 days ago. Where they're labeling lynching "suicide". Also the true reason, alot of white males are mad isn't because they are "victims" of racism. It has to do with the lack of self identifiable culture, lack of relation to that culture, and feeling like they have no roots. I believe, the lack of white culture, has white males look for something they can identify with. So they see the far right, and feel a sense of belonging, and pride. While acting like BLM is an attack on their personal well being. We don't talk about white kids being racist against, because a majority of them aren't killed for it. They aren't racially profiled for it, and they aren't assumed to be a criminal because of it. If they were America would've already burned to the ground. If white kids, had the same biased as black kids. However, racism against whites is almost non existent. The Black Panther Party was dismantled by the FBI years ago. So there's no groups actively trying to harm white kids, or people. However you cannot say the same for the far right. While saying the left is violent, there have been numerous lynchings of black men, and the police have swept it under the rug. When America falls, White America will have no one to blame, but themselves.

@@BlackyboiDivs white people do have culture. They aren't upset because they don't know they're ancestral heritage. I would argue that most white people know where their family orginally came from. Their upset because they were fed the idea that they are the cause for everything wrong in this country. You can criticize the majority, but your average white dude most likely has nothing to do with what you're upset about. There have been cases where someone was killed for being white. They may not get profiled by law enforcement as often as minorities, but that's on the cops and their ignorance. The system can be changed. We can't change a bad system while othering people and giving them a reason to join the far right. If you're a black man and you are taught that you're wrong and deserve less because of how you were born for years, you'd eventually join a group were you would feel appreciated. Anything they are praising today, they will bash tomorrow. They will likely bash Kodi's video eventually when its more useful to do so. It's my favourite film of all time but I think it should be more with the dialogue, story and characters really. I even loved the city and lore they built in the film. Though people putting it high because it show realistic political climate is kind of odd, considering they are all animal types with their own backstories and histories. I love the film hell of a lot though I hate as how it is pushed as an anti-racism when they never said it once. More of 'We all make mistakes and get too emotional and we should strive to improve ourselves for the better', which I feel is far more powerful.

One thing about Zootopia that love is that the museum piece of the prey animals armed with stick and the predator in the tree. At first viewing it might look like the prey animals banding together to protect themselves against the predator... but if you know animal behavior, you realize that they are hunting the predator. Cat, especially big cats, climb in trees when they feel threatened or when they are sleeping for the protection. So those cute bunnies are the aggressors here, either chasing the predator into a tree, or literally ambushing him while he was sleeping.

My first friend in my life, I met when I was 3 (and he was almost 4). We lived across the street from each other, so we became friends fast. I spent 2 years roughly running around, turning over rocks, crushing up leaves, jumping over fences, and being a general normal boy with my best friend. Then I went to kindergarten, and things started to change. By the time I got to 1st grade (at age 6) they started showing us VHS tapes about history. Simple things, and a lot of it was musical stuff like "The First Bill" or Seseme Street stuff. But some of it was history about America, and some of that included stuff about the civil rights movement and slavery. Not in detail, but in brief, and meant for young minds. Well, it fucking *WORKED* on me. I thought my friend, whom I had to that point known for years, hated me. Why? Because I am white and my best and oldest friend for over 3 decades now is black. I hated myself because of what a bunch of people who looked like me did to people who look like him. I almost lost my friend over that white guilt, which was *taught* to me at a young age and was continually reinforced throughout my life. Fuck this dumbass on twitter. "White kids don't understand racism" bullshit. It was shoved down my throat and I was never allowed to forget about it. There was nothing I could do to make up for it, and now? Kids and adults think they have to make up for it because they are the newest heretics, the witches, the outcasts. For something they never did, and for which they can never appease their apparent "victims." This white guilt bullshit has hurt more people, especially lately, than almost any other single psychological behavior. It infuriates me that people keep trying to reinforce it, even when it gets good people killed.

It seems like how things are done in South Africa is the goal for the US, because equality isn't good enough for some people. They seek revenge, even if they weren't actually victims, because it gives them power. . Oppression shouldn't be done to *anyone*. We're supposed to be rising above that, not merely swapping roles around. I know that adopting the role of oppressor is *not* what Dr. King fought for here and am pretty sure that's not what President Mandela fought for there.

A couple months ago my wife and I were travelling and got pulled over because our plate was expired. The small town, old, white cop demanded my ID, even though I was the passenger, and acted incredibly suspicious - even asking what my problem was - because I was looking out the front of the car and neither moving nor being confrontational with him. At least he let us go with just a fine, though he did say he could impound our car and leave me, my wife and our two young children stranded in the cold. We weren't in an old jalopy, but a pretty new minivan. I'm a clean cut white guy with no record whatsoever. Some cops are just dicks.

"Some cops are just dicks." Agreed. Some cops like the authority a bit too much and abuse it because it makes them feel powerful. A'holes like that are usually weeded out by their fellows, but sometimes, in the right situation they can get away with it and they know it. Many cops are more suspicious of Blacks & Latinos because they are well aware that these communities commit crime at a higher rate than other communities, this crime is frequently violent so when they do approach the suspect they are more likely to treat them as being armed. Add to that the fact these communities often have a very antagonistic attitude to the police (classic example of a vicious circle) and you create a situation that dick cops (the ones who like to exert control over others) can use to both justify their fondness for abusing their authority and hide that from their fellow cops.. Ofc some of these dick cops are also racist but it's not institutional.

esp. because nowadays its more "cool" to be a gangster than being a cop or firefighter. In my youth circles ACAB was a very openly thought out thing and everyone was seen as a representative for the government (which we all know isnt perfect by any means of the imagination). They then project their hate or frustration over the goverment onto the cops. So there is only a small amount of people willing to do this job left and of these people only a hand full woudnt get a better job somewhere else. When corruption via cops and organised crime was rampant the solution was: pay the cops better so they have something to lose. What you know it worked, with other things combined.

Not because they’re racist, but it’s just uncomfortable for me. Maybe he’s gay and is nervous that a cute guy is looking at him. People can read all kinds of little instances with facial movements, twitches, blinks etc and maybe the cop was just thinking the same back. Maybe they were just both wondering “why tf this dude starring at me” without any deeper underlying message. I’ve had that happen a ton where someone will stare at me and I’ll stare back because I’m just confused why they’re looking at me.

I'm so glad someone can admit that stereotypes are usually made by some kind of truth. Whether it's as true these days is a matter of debate, but people don't just think of stereotypes without having some evidence for it. The important part is simply not defaulting to the stereotype everytime you interact. Like the 'black people are thieves' stereotype. You can't just believe that every time a black guy walks into a store. I think that's where alot of people get it wrong, allowing it to pre determine what they think. These SJW's think that all white people do that.

I get that racism is an issue, but I had similar thoughts about this short animation when I first saw it. *Literally nothing happens.* Cop pulls over a car in the middle of the night. They can do that, eg. just because to check if you are sober. Dobermann looks tense, which is natural reaction for being pulled over, so cop is more interested in him. Again there is nothing wrong with that, and those who ever been to the airport should know that. Don't be too tense, or security will be curious. Also thank you for pointing what I didn't actually realise about Zootopia. In its anti-racism message there is no obvious comparisons whether prey or preds were supposed to be 'white' or 'minorities', but when you look at it closely it looks like preds were what white people are going to be if "you can't be racist against white people" is going to continue. I get that USA is late to the equality party and there is still a lot to do over there, but because it happens now, in the era of social media, we not only risk going the other way where all white people are bad, but also it rises the unrest in countries that have much less racism and police brutality. -(i just hope this comment will not get auto deleted)-

One more point... the words “Black Lives Matter” are interesting in a subliminal and metaphysical sense. Matter is an illusion. The subconscious takes things literally. And when you put the words everywhere, the mind let’s down it’s conscious firewall so to speak. So the words seep into the more suggestible and powerful subconscious. So “Black Lives” could cause the mind to identify the life with the body. Ego identification. Identity politics. So the phrase psychologically thrusts the consciousness into the “matter” of the body. The truth is, “Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter.” You are not black. I am not white. We are both Love-Light. “There will be slavery until we are all Masters of Love.”

Thanks for another great video! For those black people who want to say that white kids don't have an understanding of racism. I was a white child in the 90s. I was raised in a majority black neighborhood. I was literally the only white kid in my school in the first grade. When going to the bus to get back home from school one day I was brutally attacked by the other children and almost all, if not all, of the black kids around were screaming "kill whitey." I was a kid, raised as a Christian with nothing, but love in my heart for everyone. This was not the only time I faced racism or the only time I was attacked during my childhood for my skin color. However I never once have believed that all black people are evil. I thought they were children who were raised by some very bad people that anyone that young could feel obliged to try and kill someone. I only survived because the principle, a black woman, saved my life. I treat people as individuals, but that white and especially Asian people might be developing a bit of animosity for black people is no surprise to me. When we see looting the majority is from black people. When we see people playing "the knock out game" the majority is from black people. When we saw people burning down cities in the name of BLM it sends a certain message. I still believe in Christianity and still love my fellow humans or as the bible refers to them. I love my neighbors. These Wokandans really need to look in the mirror and see themselves for the monsters they are and repent. This country is spiraling in large part because people have been ramping up hate and profiting off of it. Because when we are at war with each other we ignore the people profiting from it. We ignore the people causing it. We ignore the people with truly evil intent. As for your distrust of the cops. Once upon a time I gave the cops a lot of trust. During the covid lockdowns a lot of cops lost that trust. Several events have happened that have forced the good cops out of the police force. The ones that seek to join it and who have stayed through it are faced with great difficulty and I respect them. Law and order is important the police have a place within our society so long as they don't just "follow orders" when given an immoral order and they seek to do good. I was inspired by the police growing up, but due to circumstances, mostly beyond their control they have become more human and less superheroes. As humans they are fallible. Some are malicious and some are good. That it feels like you're playing a game of Russian roulette is sad and scary. 15 slots can be blank, but there's that one with a bullet in it. It might manifest as unjust brutality or murder or both as is the case of that kid who was in a hotel. Tormented, tried to follow the cops orders, was unarmed, and then shot to death. If anyone reading that immediately thought of race shame on you, and if you thought he was black you'd be wrong he was white. That got long, but this whole us verses them black verses white really gets under my skin. Thanks for your videos. May God bless you.

Really well put together video, thanks for not only entertaining us but for providing people with a common sense view; something missing sometimes in media.

Isn't it weird that pitbulls account for half the dog attacks, even though they only account for 1/10 dogs?

Bjarkenb because they are conditioned to be attack dog. Much like those in the far left.

This is probably sarcasm, it's hard to tell with dumbasses these days... But even brainless comments can be used for education. No, it's not surprising that pitbulls have a higher attack average- considering what they were bred for ages ago. They were bred specifically for protection, intimidation, and fighting. This produced their muscled build, stamina, stubbornness, and territoriality. In the modern day this has caused problems because the pitbull claims all in his yard or perceived territory as HIS. They can be notoriously hard to train properly (it's more a battle of dominant wills) but are also fiercely protective of their claimed family.

They aren't, most of the dog attacks are the common breeds like Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds. You just hear about the Pit Bull attacks more.

I thought small dogs made up the most attacks. I only see agressive chiuahuas, weiner dogs, etc. same for attacks....cuz ya know, people don't think tiny dogs need training.

In Zootopia, neither side is supposed to map to white or black people, exactly. Predators, for example, are minorities, but are widely seen as privileged and face stigma. Prey animals - especially cute ones like Judy - face condescension from predators, much like some whites condescend to non-whites. But we even see Nick doing the thing with Bellwether's fur that some non-blacks do with black hair. And I want to stress 'non-blacks'. I hear Chinese do it to black people in China sometimes. How much 'white supremacy' is involved in that, exactly? I like how Taylor says "stereotypes are true" when the most prominent sloth in the film turns out to own a sports car at the end. And "predators have eaten prey" when we literally never see that happen in the film, and when predators do attack people it's treated as incredibly unusual and requires a mind-altering drug. And Nick and Judy themselves both defy stereotypes. Incidentally, I think the directors said predators use insect proteins. Or presumably fish.

Im brown while in oklahoma and i never ever had an issue with the cops at all. Even on speeding tickets situation they have always being respectful to me. Unless u give the cops something to mess with you then is all your fault.

Maybe the cop is gay. I've seen Twilight and I know what "the stare" means.

I fucking love this comment. I image some cops stare at some guys because they find them attractive rather than being suspicious. Would be a funny twist

Yooooo this is the first time I have seen someone else actually understood the race analogy in Zootopia correctly jesus christ. I thought I was the only one. Plus that's one of the most powerful scenes I've ever seen in any movie too, it punches right at a feeling anyone who has ever been singled out and picked on will recognise. I did not expect something so deep from Disney furry bait, of all things. The people who worked on that movie deserve massive respect.
