Hi Baz and the Director. Great video, lots going on. The reason you think about and expect quality work off everyone is because you learned off your father from a young age and you have owned and ran your own businesses. I am the same way learning from my grandfather and father. Oh to be young again, at 16 working in an engineering factory by day, college one day and two nights, working on trucks any free night and weekends. At 17 spending weekends up the road delivering emergency parts to depots, sites and freight forwarders for HY-MAC excavators. My first 3 KZfaqrs, Chris Allen, Ashville and WelderFaber 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇺🇸

Well done Baz and The Director for another brilliant episode and insight into your world of welding and fabrication. I've heard many stories of you boys growing up being trained from a young age with welding in the blood, even though social media was well before his time and sadly he never got the chance to see it.. Let me tell you now without a shadow of a doubt your old man would be so proud of you BOTH, working together like this, sharing the passion he installed in you, creating something special and gaining a following for it ! Blood is thicker than water !! never lose your bond as brothers.

A pipefitter, in the pulp mill I worked at, a few years ago was using a cutting disk, like the one you shorted those bolts with, and it exploded. The pieces flew off and would have destroyed his face, but luckly he was wearing a face shield and they imbedded themselves in the shield.

I enjoy Diesel Creak, too, duck. He gets some old machines up and running again. Mr. Hewes and Fitter Matt does some good stuff, too. Tanks and old work horses. I just wish I could find some videos of old pit machines being refurbished, but we left them underground to drown in our flooded mines. I know we have some at the museums such as Cap House colliery. We just don't see them being repaired, etc.

@chrisjacobs8394 I used to watch ashville, then I lost him when my phone broke, but now I'll watch again. I'll now check out the other welding channel that was mentioned. I was just a face worker but I've alwaysed dabbled, I was bought up in the 60s to learn how to make fo and mend, I now have my own little workshop and forge, just to make my own stuff like blades or anything I may want. I've been working on a 1917 Drumand lathe, converting it to electric. I'm presently welding up a tool post from scrap . It's just my way. You'd think I was a Yorkshire lad with how tight fisted I am, but no Derbysher born, Derbyshire bred , strong in arm, thick in head ! 😂🤣. Na, I had a hard life as a kid like most. I just had to learn how to make what I needed. I learn a lot watching these guys, I also taught myself to mug and stick weld to a fashion, like most a grinder makes my work look a little better, however I'm improving. From a coal face man to a Jack of all trades ! 🙂 my lilly white ass I am! Like I said, I make do and mend like most our age, I think. Or maybe I should put the whisky down before I text .🤣😂👍

Just watched this video was intrigued why the power screen was pulsing. Good job well done. I was also admiring your van. As a retired engineer who was in charge of a specialised workshop for over 25 years after being on the tools myself, it’s great to see someone who ethic is to look after the company assets like they’re your own. I always said if you look after the assets then there’s always a job for you, Regards your statement you’ve got OCD regards your van and the workshop, I must disagree it’s due to the fact you have pride in everything you do. I had a number of lads who, operated mobile workshops and I always provided the best to do the job, quickly and efficiently. They got the message always keeping their vans clean and tidy, and replenished any stock they used. However, it wasn’t always the same in the workshop, although the majority took pride in their working environment, for some reason the auto electricians were always hoarders, keeping old of broken stuff that they always claimed they could repair. I used to give them three warnings and they knew their time was up if they saw me dragging a bin across the workshop floor to clear the crap they had accumulated. So I think we were probably cast from the same mould. Both our fathers were engineers before us, learned the job at an early age, and proud in what we have achieved. It great to see a channel so close to home ( being a Wiganer) and look forward to you regular vlogs. Ironically we also both follow the same KZfaq channels spooky the fact we’ve never met. Keep up the great work. .
