Thanks for sharing, what filler rod did you use? to those saying use tig or other please leave a link to a machine thats light and can run off 120v as not all stops have power and most farrier trucks run 3000w inverter max

Im not educated enough to have a opinion on this but is there tig that will run off 120v and can you point me theright way if there is ? thanks much.

If the pieces stuck together it must be good, grinders can make anything look pretty.. Apart from that Hermes Mercury I don't see any of your videos showing how it's done..

As I am a student, can you provide me with a link to what you consider to be the best aluminum welding with an oxyacetylene torch? I am trying to master this particular method. Thank you.

@@steveprescott9562 use a rig welder. Do it the right way!!!! This type of welding will get you home if your break something not the right tool of doing a job for a customer

@@HoofPrintsDR Thank you for your reply. after my initial post 2 years ago I practiced this method and was successful applying it it in making aluminum barshoes, forge welded. I found it much more appealing to buy these flux cored aluminum rods to use rather than invest in a TIG welder. My need for aluminum welding in the field is infrequent and I really don't have the room in the shoeing rig for a TIG.
