Verosika instantly became another one of my favorite characters! Both because she's voice by Cristina Vee and because she makes a good rival for Blitz! And of course her singing voice is absolutely incredible, Cristina did an amazing job voicing the character!!!

To answer the whole "why have a killing business" and "who wants them to kill people on Earth" thing, in the pilot they actually go over it. I.M.P stands for "Immediate Murder Proffessionals" and the team uses the book Stolas owns to open portals to Earth where they kill humans. The reason why is that if you have a grudge on someone who's alive, there was someone who cheated on you or maybe saw you burying a body and sold you out, you can go too I.M.P who will kill them for a price. Speaking of price, kids die for free is their selling point btw Also, the deal Blitz and Verosika made was that Blitz's team could off more people than Verosika's team could bone since they're succubi, so she is winning by singing her pop-song mating call Hope that cleared the whole thing up Mathew :)

The lyrics to the song Blitzo is singing are hilarious. The song is called "Mustang Dong" and is literally just new lyrics over "Heaving is a Place on Earth." Look up the lyric video, you'll thank me later. As for what this show is about? Deep trauma and PTSD and how they affect relationships. No, I'm not making that up. Everything in the show revolves around that. Everyone in the show has trauma in their past. Everyone. Stolas, Blitzo, Fizz, Moxxie, Millie, Loona... the show is about how to deal with that, move past it, work through it. You just haven't gotten to that yet. It's still kind of setting up characters and establishing history. But you're close to it. They show is gonna do some hard shifts in a couple episodes. It's going to transition to much more hard drama and less "jjob of the week." On this note... Blitzo is the way he is for a reason. He's not actually just an asshole for the hell of it. But you'll get to that. And you'll start to see a very different side of him. Actually, there's a hint of it in this episode. Him going in to protect Moxxie is one, and the other is his talk with Loona on the beach about adoption. Both very much parts of what's going on emotionally inside Blitzo. It's all there... every episode you see more and more of it. How long to figure it out. No that wasn't urine... it was alcohol. Beelze-juice. Brandon Rogers, who voices Blitzo, is one of the writers and he is... intense, and... intense. He has mastered the art of swearing like few humans ever have or will.

Blitzø is my favorite!! He’s grumpy and rude but his redeeming qualities can be found in his actions and micro expressions. He cares a whole lot 💗

I.M.P. provide a service for sinners where theya re paid to go tothe human world to murder specific people those sinners have a grudge against, for example in he first episode where a teacher hired them to murder the the woman who slept with her husband and got famous because of her actions.

This series doesn't really have an overarching plot, or major antagonist. It's more like a sit-com with each episode mostly a stand-alone story. There are a few story lines that progress, but they more related to character development and relationship exploration vs. a plot the drives to a conclusion.

Thank you, @MathewMcKenna, for starting to watch this show in sequential order! Context will come with watching that way, I promise. But, for further context of THIS episode, lemme help you out: 1. The references to the various rings & 'Hell' is based off the literal descriptions of Hell- how there's 9 levels, each pertaining to a different aspect of the 7 deadly sins. 2. Speaking of the 7 deadly sins, each of the branches of Hell is named after a different deadly sin they're in conjunction with- Verosica is from Lust, hence her given appearance & sultry show on the surface. 3. The challenge Blitz had given was "how many you can F" "before we F- them Off", meaning Verosica was dared to get explicitly dirty with people while Blitz & his crew went the killing route... which was why them meeting in a human location over Spring Break was so important. 4. The dynamic between Luna & Blitz was very much a stepdad/stepdaughter vibe, as you obviously saw, but the part that you might have missed is the sizing up of Vortex was a classic trope of "I see my daughter has a crush on you, I don't think you're fit to be with her"... or, more accurately speaking, "she's not old enough to be interested in boyfriends", so his acting like a possessive father figure was very on-point with the social cue. Now, the only cue I'm not 100% knowledgeable of is what level Blitz & his crew are from- since they're in the business of killing things, I'd imagine it's Wrath, but honestly I'm not sure. Either way, that's the best context I can give you without further explaining what I KNOW you'll see as the episodes continue, & I'll be excited when you dive further into this devilish realm of art... ... I need to stop saying further. "You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means." lol

There does seem to be a canine-ish instinct to protect in all Hellhounds, even just the rules of Hell in general. Denizens of Hell aren't allowed into the human world all willy-nilly. By the way, Blitz wasn't worried about people drooling all over Loona (he literally used her as bait to draw people in). He was worried that she might be caught without a costume out in the human realm, which meant she would probably be taken away from him.

It seems interesting that you might have to check out an Helluva Boss breakdown on their citizens and rings of Hell. As there be a difference between Imps and Succubus citizens. As Verosika’s crew is being succubus/Incubus that seduce their prey to take their life assets away. While with IMP is hitman imps that kill for the challenge. So there is a difference between those two. And you might see more rings of Hell in future episodes. Keep an eye out in the sky as it shows different colors of rings. Also before I forget, Vortex’s VA is James Menero who done Genie from Aladdin Musical, Zetisal’s Voice in Hazbin Hotel Series.

Yeaahhh there’s pretty much no overarching plot in this show (besides Blitzø and Stolas i mean). It’s all episodic which can be nice until u realize season 2 is already over halfway done-
