Only because 99% of users quit and aren't seriously using blender in any way. You learn pretty quickly about pivot points and the 3d cursor, and that info alone tells you that almost anything that can use them will. This "tip" might be useful, but if it is, you need to go back to basics. Idk, if I was making shorts on how to use basic functions in blender, I'd also be embarrassed about just figuring this out.

Shift+Alt+S (To sphere) can also be used to make any geometry into a perfect circle: Set transform pivot point Select vertices To sphere S to scale X, Y, or Z to lock the scale orientation Type "0" to scale it flat Now you have a perfect circle. This is very useful for things such as adding round holes into flowing geometry. If you just need to do this with one edge loop, then enable the edge tools addon and do as follows: Select edge loop Right click Edge tools -> circle

Shift-Alt-S is pretty standard but the pivot point is good information, which makes a lot of sense now that I think about it
