I think what's going on here is that the type of personality that interviewer is, is the exact opposite of the type of personality Jesse is, or the sort of person his fans are likely to want to hear. But we're just commenting our opinions, we're not saying he shouldn't interview people.

@hounoki great answer friend and I agree. We are allowed to have our own opinions and "we are under no obligation to be the same person we were 5 minutes ago" or think only one way. I also agree that these 2 artists are very different indeed lol. And I can say I agree with what you said, but I do like to challenge myself and allow myself to have more than one opinion on the matter. Thanks for the human response, it's appreciated.

I'm 6 years late to this but I just have to say WOW!! I came across this guy on instagram from his recent folk songs in the trees and I am very impressed. And to hear that he gave my other favorite band, Greta Van Fleet such positive responses makes my heart swell with happiness. This all feels like 2021 again like when Greta Van Fleet got famous on tik tok. I am only 25 years old but grew up on classic rock and to witness it coming alive again is a thrill like no other. I hope to see this Welles guy on tour someday and it would be kickass if he toured with Greta again. Love it!! ❤ Rock music LIVES ON 🎸

That interview was extremely frustrating... stepping all over responses from the interviewee. I actually wanted to hear what Jess Welles had to say (circa 6 years ago), not the DJ (at least not this stereotypical radio announcer)..
