In this video you join my brother and I at Churchwood Fisheries, in Brentwood, Essex. This was a red letter session for us, landing some true monsters. I really hope you enjoy the video.

@@f1sh3rman The old cats do pull, when holding a big fish for the camera, l have for a few years worn a Vass pvc waterproof jacket to minimise removal of their slime and it also keeps my clothes clean!!!!

It’s a mega fishery mate but I suggest getting down to Jimmy’s lake in Fobbing, for your first cat. There’s no way you will walk away empty handed!

Normally leech, or worms mate. Live bait works well too, and squid.

Great video guys slowly working my way through them all. How many kg of pellets do you go through in a session? Looks like a 25kg bag?

Typically on a 48hr session we would only use around 5-8kg I would say. It all depends on how the fish are reacting to bait

Those were the 4.5s - I’ve since moved on to 5s

@@f1sh3rman ok thanks. Been trying to decide between the two. What’s swaying me to the 4.5 is the fact they are 12ft, also I like the slim profile. I’m not a fan of the big duplon handles

Was that the whole lake ? Naaa it can’t be .. all they big fish in a puddle. Can’t really see the point myself. Very pretty little spot though. Would have been nicer been a specimen tench water or something like that. Somthing that suited the size of the water a bit better.

Hi bud. Yes it’s a very small bit of water, however the owner is looking at extending it right out in to the woodland he has. Although we had a red letter session, it can be very difficult to catch fish there, we were lucky that they were on the feed! I believe the people before us blanked in 48hrs. Also speaking to the owner he’s going to be removing a lot of the smaller catfish and rehoming them in to some larger waters :)
