The treasure of WOH is that both characters have complicated personalities. Each of them has many layers (like their beautiful clothes) and deep pain. So difficult to open your heart and so luckily to meet Your person who can understand your pain. After 20 years WKX is ready to meet with his inner pain and overcome it. And recover. The same is for ZZH. I'm really happy to see such a mature relationship. And thank you for your deep vision and understanding of personalities. You made me look deeper. And song is just perfect.

That was both beautiful and heartbreaking... it really puts to the fore WKX's turmoils; the struggle between his need for revenge and his yearning for a happier and more peaceful life. I loved it, thanks for sharing!

I love how complex the character in WOH are, especially how very few of them are truely good people who have done nothing but good things in thier lives and that the ones who are are the youngest and raised in wealthy/influential sects. The only characters I can think of who only did good deeds are Cao Weining and Zheng Chengling and both are young and priviledged characters who are having to learn how to make it in the real world. Even with those two its likely that at some point they would make morally questionable decisions to preserve something or someone they love, if Cao Weining was still alive anyway, but Chengling will probably make decisions that others think are wrong in future because that is what is the best for him or his loved ones, even if it is an act of petty revenge. I love how it demostrates that even the best people aren't perfect and how the violent and cruel actions of others can cause people to make immoral decisions and partake in the violence that hurt them, especially if they were hurt as a child. I could probably write a whole essay on why the characters in WOH are some of the best characters in any tv show I've watched. The nuance in the characters and how the ways in which their pasts have affected them and continue to affect them are shown is beautiful. The credit goes not only to Priest, the author of Faraway Wanderers (WOH was adapted from this for those who didn't already know), and the directors, but also the actors, stylists and everyone who was involved in the appearance and characterisation of these incredible characters. I could continue, but the comment is getting a bit long now so I'll shut up.

What make this WOH so special is that both actor potrait their character so well that we feel what they feel ...the pain , the love through their eyes.

In my opininon this is how the character of Wen Kexing should have been played and directed. No cute young man who sometimes acted like 5 years old and sometimes as a god of revenge, but tragic and strong character who for love transitioned from revenge to justice, won and then lost it all.

In the end dark gloomy wen kexing found light, found soulmate to spend an eternity. As it's said there's always light at the end of dark tunnel.

I relate to his character so much..its painful..I have fallen for Wen kexing..he doesn't deserve anything which he had to go through 😭

I rarely ever comment on videos but I cannot go without saying how perfect this edit was! The scenes were matched with the song and the ending was flawless. His pain and regret and dejection is explained beautifully here. And finally meeting his ray of light. This has to got to be one of the top Wkx edits!
