I don’t think Candace really cares about having a friendship with Robin or Ashley or Giselle but she understands what’s good for the show and the group moving forward cohesively. Candace can see that she’s being iced out of the group so she has to do what she hast to do in order to stay on the show in order to continue to get a check. I hate the position that Candace is in. Let’s be honest nobody is going to walk away from a six-figure check for doing less than six months worth of work.

I believe Giselle went to production and voiced her annoyance about the reaction from the viewers in season seven . In season seven Wendy and Candiace gained favor amongst the viewers and that is NEVER supposed to happen! Candiace and Wendy are the outsiders and black sheep . Wendy and especially Candace is supposed to be humiliated and disrespected by the viewers on social media, not Robyn , Gisele and Ashley. I remember an episode of WWHL and Andy said , “ yeah , just like Candiace body shames” keep in mind the guest he had on the show , we’re not housewives, and they were not talking about housewives. The reason why he said that was to signal to the audience, “remember, Candiace is the villain “ . I remember after that episode Candiace tweeted , “ I will not be gaslit this season”

It's still crazy to me that Gizelle feels "unsafe" and "protecting her family". I envisioned someone taking Andy's spot for an upcoming reunion asking "Raise your hand of you felt personally victimized by Gizelle Bryant?". Others who are on Gizelle's back would reluctant to raise their hand, although I don't think she victimized Robyn, because that's her friend. Like ma'am, you're the one who falsely accused your cast member's husband of SA, and not realizing how these accusations can damaging to one's livelihood.

Gizelle’s strategy is ice Candiace/Wendy out by showing the RHOP audience and production that her group (GEB, Ashley, Mia, Nneka, Charrisse) are the way for the show to move forward. She wasn’t happy with Karen continuing to film with Wendy/Candiace. That’s why she gave the cast the marching orders to shade Karen this whole episode.

@@charchartime1701 Several times this season, Gizelle has told or suggested to other cast members not to engage with Candiace or Wendy. She thought she had made it clear to Karen not to engage with Candiace , citing her “safety”. If Candiace and Wendy have no one to film with, they get fired off the show (it worked with Monique). The problem is the audience sees the cast having fun & getting along (or at least being cordial) when Robyn & Gizelle are not there and I don’t think they or production saw that happening.

Candiace is a brown skinned woman that production hates, so she has to bend the knee. It’s a numbers game, Candiace offering the olive branch is for job security. She needs for at least Robyn and /or Ashley to continue to film with her! She doesn’t have the “privilege” of having production on her side, so being the bigger person is the only card she has left. By demonstrating her ability to move forward those who want her gone, can’t say it’s because she wasn’t a team player or able to move past drama. Her position interestingly enough spotlight’s just how much Gizelle doesn’t have the capacity to move forward and demonstrates that the real issue is indeed Gizelle.

I believe Charisse lives in Bethesda. Gisele lives in Rockville. Robin lives in Harford County. Wendy lives in Baltimore county. Candiace lives in Prince George’s County. Karin lives in Potomac, which is Montgomery county. Mia lives in Baltimore city. Nneka lives in Potomac, which is Macgomery county. And the reason why Karin is still renting, even though she can afford to purchase, it’s because she made an agreement with her husband that is soon as the show tells her, it’s over she would move to Florida for him to finally retire, so she does not feel the need to purchase

I can understand Karen and Ray renting a house at their age. We’ve been homeowners for the last year and honestly, I can say that I definitely miss the upkeep being on a landlord 😂 it’s a lot of work, especially with a bigger house. I’d hire a cleaning service, but I have trust issues and the idea of random people being in my home makes me too nervous

Funny, when Wendy joined the show back in season 5 Gizelle said the exact same thing about her that she said about Nneka. Be careful Nneka, Gizelle will go after you next. I said it in the premiere episode but I'll say it here: - Karen and Nneka live in Potomac - Gizelle and Mia live in Bethesda - Robyn lives in the Baltimore area - Ashley lives in Arlington, VA - Candiace lives in Upper Marlboro - Wendy lives in Finksburg and is the farthest since that's closer to Pennsylvania than the DMV 😂

Ok look I’m leaving this comment for dialogue. We are watching a tv show, now my morals can’t be bought no matter how much the check is that’s being offered. What do yall expect them to do on these ensemble shows? They have to display conflict AND resolution so even if somebody does something deemed as foul they are supposed to eventually make up and put the group back together, rinse and repeat that’s the point. So if everybody is getting into it and not speaking there’s no show, no chemistry, division etc which is where Potomac is now. So what is the solution? I’m never talking to a b like Ashley nor Gizelle if I’m Candaice but I’m not on tv with them so what is she supposed to do if Bravo won’t shakeup the cast 😕 she is the only one willing to play nice, well her Ashley and Wendy so the only other option is fire the GEB’s. & where is the sit down and apology Mia claimed she gave Wendy when you saw her Bravocon?

@MayaD773 - I agree with much of what you say. I havent watched the last 2 or 3 series of this show and others in this franchise. Instead I have listened to commentary by Brooke, Kempire, Ms Measha and Rodney on certain shows. Unfortunately I think that when you go on a show like this, you have to leave your morals and dignity on the doorstep and pick them up on your way out - that is if you are not so broken that its all that you can do to put one foot in front of the other. Watch the next Real Housewives reunion and see how the viewers are invited to revel and delight in the discord and unpleasantness and even more so when the housewife in question is showing real upset and distress (understandably in many cases). The only time I saw genuine concern was when it was one of the Beverly Hills cast who was having a hard time with an ongoing feud on the show. But, I only watched some of the shows from this franchise so perhaps I have just watched the few where the host doesnt have a genuine connection with members of those casts. Thinking about shows in this arena and what makes it entertaining for me its the same reasoning as I would have watching the boxing greats in their prime in the ring - it must be a fair match and may the best person win but also recognising that every dog has their day. It was this that I enjoyed about the Housewives when I first tuned in years ago. Lots decadence, surrealism, insight in to how the other halves live, life in different parts of the U.S, the gossip, drama, the shade and those ladies going head to head in verbal slanging matches but able to give as good as they got. In those days, nothing got so serious that giving one another a time out wouldnt fix and find a resolution for. Physical interactions should be the extremely rare exception not the rule but I cant see how they wouldnt become more frequent as the ante needs to be stepped up in the name of entertainment - where else is there to go after all! This and other shows are no longer entertaining - it has sunk to the depths when the machinations behind the scenes are happy to present broken and upset individuals or those desperately disillusioned who are clinging to lives and lifestyles that are no longer theirs or never were.

Based on what she said in response to his company, she may be opening up due to the financial benefits that comes along with having a better relationship with him and maybe Wendy 😅

Good recap! Karen’s Surrey County storyline had me in tears. So many families are not able to find out about their ancestors. Karen really knows how to use this platform. So smart! (That trip was great without the GEBs. They weren’t missed.) I like Candiace & Ashley’s frenemies relationship. Both young, cute, verbal, & both often wrong. Ashley makes for good TV because she can dish it, and she can take it, and she’s not hypersensitive. Wendy & Eddie’s date night was everything! Karen & Ray’s date was lovely. I enjoy seeing the couples have fun together.

It’s good to see you reviewing RHOP again Brooke! Even if it’s just for a little bit lol. I don’t think Candice trying to salvage whatever friendship she had with Robyn as her seeking validation. She’s just trying to see if she and Robyn can move one and salvage what they had. They had they’re sit down, it ended horribly, and that’s that. I don’t think anything else will come from it until the reunion. I also don’t think she’s chasing Ashley either. While I don’t understand her relationship with Ashley, I can respect the fact that she and Ashley can really go at it and have the ability to move on for the sake of the show instead of holding on to it as the seasons go on (unlike Gizelle). Me personally, I don’t think that what Candiace is doing is enough to was our hands of her because when you really think about it, she’s just playing the reality show game. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I’m still going to defend my girl if she’s up against some bs lol. And when it comes to Wendy and Nneka, Wendy has every right to feel how she feels, but I also think they they could possibly move on if they have a sit down and actually talk and hear each other out. In the beginning, you mentioned Candiace is wanting validation from the girls, but then said there will be no enjoyment due to the group not being able to move forward. I see Candiace conversation Robyn as her trying to move forward with the show and it’s kinda the same with Ashley. if Candiace and Wendy both start playing the game like Gizelle then the show will be over.

Looking fab as always, and so thankful you came back we needed youI definitely believe that Candiace is somewhat annoying with the Roomate but Robyn did actually support Candiegal on her DeepSpace tour. But I believe because Candiace is more forgiving than others she believes that Rob should get over the resentment because Juan is who’s she really mad at frfr. Since Eric has been fired we may get to see something different or they should reboot and Andy needs to gather Gizzard by her jowls and cankles and let her know she runs nothing. I do agree though that the responsibility shouldn’t just fall on Candiace but seeing as the others are icing her out, her forging a surface level relationship with Ashley is a tactical move on her part

Both things annoy me! Lmao! I've kept saying that they need to revamp and recast! The energy is stale between everyone! It's not enjoyable! Karen can't carry this show on her back by herself and yes I see that Candiace is being strategic with Ashley BUT she actually does like Ashley (hence her always saying she's a fun girl and I actually like her) which is crazy and bizarre to me!

Love the video Brooke 🫶🏾🥂 what’s crazy to me is after Giselle and Robin pulled that stunt with their podcast and paid membership, that this is even allowed still. I would think both Robin and Giselle would be on thin ice regarding filming scenes with people. I will never understand how they are able to avoid sharing personal things as the other women have done and then turn around and try to ice out the two women who have been vulnerable and open with their story since coming onto the show. I hope both Giselle and Robin know that this isn’t a good look for them and they’re digging a deeper and deeper hole, especially when it comes down to receiving support from black women in those whom support black women.
