I didn't even know magnetic paint was a thing but that's a super smart usage for it

@AdeenaGrubb is there a brand of magnetic paint you recommend as best?

I love how you make your dolls and puppets with different materials and techniques. They are so diverse and original, each one has its own story and character. You are a genius artist!

I _love_ it. Probably never happening, but this made me feel so inspired to make a puppet I can feel it in my bones.

I did not know you could make hands like that that's very cool
@eliotzunino68472 жыл бұрын
you have a very good dexterity with fabrics. What fabrics do you use for covering the head and hands of your puppet?
@dazski66072 жыл бұрын
I'm also interested to know what type of fabric you use for the skin. The face covering looks beautiful, but the process is a bit quick to follow.

Its just fabric and glue...lightweight stretchy fabric, made with lycra or nylon etc, wrapped around the fas. Try using a pair of undies.
@wanderingintime2 жыл бұрын
nah, it actually matters what kind of fabric you use. plus the fibers can sometimes not work well with glues. truth however, you will want to experiment. some fabric has 4 way, 2 way or no way stretch. going to the fabric store, look at texture the knit creates, esp. if the knit has a noticeable direction. you will need to always make sure the pattern/texture is moving in the direction you want. underwear is actually a good suggestion, if it is appropriate fabric texture, because usually is 4 way stretch. this she used has almost a fleece/felt/microfiber look to it. glues, fabric glues, rubber cement: this is experiment time for real. there are fabric glues to try, so different I cant make a suggestion. but you can look up "glue to adhere stretch fabric to wood" or plastic, polymer clay, whatever. probably not typical white pva though. good luck!

Hi, Adeena, love your stuff and your animation, just wondering what type of magnetic paint you use and where I could possibly get some.

What wood do you use? Other types of wood are difficult to work with and carve.

This is amazing! COuld you maybe tell me a list of the materials you used
@ttmmaacc2 жыл бұрын
She used Milliput, balsa wood, wire, latex and fabric. Everything else should be learnt through your own experimentations and failures IMO, otherwise just by a colouring book.

I’m sure you get this a lot but what type of wood do you use?
@violetamoreno100 Жыл бұрын
Utiliza madera de balsa, es muy ligera y se corta con un cutter con mucha facilidad. La madera de tilo también vale pero dicen que es más dura.
