Everybody loves her, especially the song writers, lyricist, producers, and directors. I am so glad that SM finally gave her the chance to flex her vocals and talent. The first time I heard her voice was about 2 years ago, it made me a hard stan. You can clearly hear how rich, pure, and good her voice is. Everyday, she gets better and better. Even after the accident last 2019, she continues to practice for her vocals to improve. She loves singing so much. During her pre-debut, she joins musical theatre and other singing activities in her school in canada & not to mention how proud her musical teacher is right now by showing Wendy’s MV to his whole class. She doesn’t only sing, but she delivers the message and emotions really well. Her voice is very clear. She is now dubbed by SM as “Goddess of Vocal Tone” in which we all agree. Wendy grew up in the Toronto area and moved to Minnesota as well before going to Korea. So I think one of her biggest musical influences growing up would have been Shania Twain, a Country/ Pop crossover artist. At least, that is what I am hearing. :)
