Wendy was messed up about the interview in 2003 but she was trying to get Whitney aware of her life and what it is becoming as a drug attic and in love with the wrong man, but Whitney is very stubborn and an independent woman and she didn't want help she didn't want to be told about herself she was going to do what she wanted reguardless . Wendy is crying because she wish Whitney could have gotten herself together like she did and still be living healthy and well like all the other recovering drug attics but not all people take the right road. RIP Whitney

I do believe wendy had good intentions about whitney, she did truly love whitney. I use to listen to her radio show from 1999-2006 and a lot of times she did bring up whitney news reporting what is in the media and wendy would hope whitney kick her addiction

The best thing for someone to do is admit to their mistakes and say I am sorry, this was her way of saying it, lets stop bashing people and start letting people make it, how many times have you done or said something that you didnt mean, or prob meant but you was young? People grow up all the time, so this woman battled crack too, its possible that she is genuine about this and it took courage to say what she said. RIP WH no one can compare to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My opinion this was very tasteful, understanding, and respectable in the way Wendy spoke of Whitney Houston. My heart goes out still to the family for their loss. And I continue to pray for Bobbi Christina. Mothers are endangered being that we only get one a piece. The way that they treat us and the way that we treat them as the bible says we cut our days short as we disobey our parents. They mean just that much. I Will Always Love You Whitney Houston Rest In Love

I'm sorry, not buying any of this. Those tears are guilt and regret for the way she handled Whitney's pain. She knew Whitney's weak spot; she had experienced it, herself. Yet, she NEVER offered compassion or sensitivity. Wendy dug her heels into Whitney's weak spot, and mocked her for ratings and Shock Jock fame. And isn't it ironic that NOW she has nothing more to say? Weep, Wendy. You have every reason to be sorry.

I am very proud of her for sharing and for having the courage to do so and still be Wendy every day! First Thing Is: A Drug Is A Drug;Prescription Or Not. Secondly:Kudos To U Wendy! U Were Not afraid To Call Whitney Out On Her Addiction Rather Than Enable Her It Takes Guts To Do That Knowing That She Would Probably Not Give U Any More Interviews It Is Not Easy To Put Principles B4 Personalities If More People In Her Life Would Have Done That Maybe She Would Still B Here With Us. Unfortunately The Reality Is That Some Must Die So That Others May Live (And Hopefully Learn) RIP GOD Bless Whitney

I almost can't watch this while Wendy Williams rewinds the clock & revises her responses to Whitney Houston... I have watched Ms. Williams tear down Whitney at all points of her career. Most recently when Whitney re-entered Rehab after the Grammy's last year. Nice of you to acknowledge sister friend now that she has passed... how amazing that Miss Williams makes this all about Wendy. Williams...and what you couldn't buy tickets to Whitney's show??? This is distasteful.

I am not impressed. She made this about her past drug use and Whitney's. She always cries when she talks about her drug use. I am sick of her talking and crying about that. It has not been said the cause of her death and she is making it seem like it was def drugs. maybe she took one to many prescription pills by accident. The "connection w/ Whitney" was only drugs and her parents? There is more. She needs to look deep inside. Whit was not about drugs.
@talented1602

I think you are missing what Wendy was trying to convey. I think she was more so crying for herself because she could have been Whitney. Yes I agree she dogged Whitney but that was her job, but she is still human like the rest of us. We all know that Whitney was not clean of drugs. She was actually back on it at the time of her death (that was no secret). I think it hit home because she struggled with the same thing and it made her reflect on her own life. I don't think she was putting on for the viewers. I think her response was sincere.

Ppl keep saying how Wendy was "just trying to help Whitney." Not true! Wendy's fixation on Whitney was an attempt to further her own career. She was a gossip queen who Whitney chose to speak to b/c she was sick of hearing Wendy spread rumors. During their interview, Wendy asked about Whitney's dad suing her, sex life w/Bobby, etc. These arent topics from a person who wishes to help another. Now Wendy tries to publicly clean up their nasty relationship with this bs speech jus b/c Whitney passed..

Did I miss something?? I've listened to her 2003 interview about a dozen times, and there wasn't one tear shed or one iota of empathy from Wendy to Whitney. All Wendy did was try to clown Whitney. I call bullshit on Wendy's crocodile tears. She's channeling Tyra Banks right now by turning Whitney's tragedy into a way to just talk about herself

For all yall sticking up for Wendy Williams her tv show is just a 'toned down' version of her radio show. Its just a futhuring of her 'career'. No producer no advertisers would invest millions of dollars n2 the wendy tht was on radio. WW was VERY nasty very ugly 2people often bordering on slander THIS is how she became a celebrity. I heard the pain & hurt in Whitneys voice when she was defending herself against ww disrespecting her father, i'll never 4get it.Wendy laughed at her now she 'cries'

I remember watching this exact clip almost 12 years ago on my way back from my college job in 2012. I was a huge Whitney fan and was devastated by her death. Her daughter Krissi (🤍) and I were basically the same age, my mom (🤍) was just 1 year younger than Whitney. This clip irritated me back then as I felt Wendy harassed & shamed Whitney for years. Now, it's 2024... my mom has passed (at 49), Krissi passed, Wendy has dementia and I just feel sad. Drugs aren't the issue, it's the pain that causes one to use that we should be focusing on. I truly hope Wendy experiences healing. Whitney, despite their history would have been amongst the first to offer her kind words and love. It's all very sad.

I read somewhere else that Wendy was being dramatic on this video, so I decided to what it. In my opinion (of which we are all entitled to) Wendy was being sincere. I think something really hit home for Wendy. I believe it was the reality of the possibility of where she COULD have ended up. People can more easily relate to those who have similar struggles and pains. It doesn't matter if they've met or not. I have a new found respect for Wendy because of her transparency.

@BeautyBoyTV i believe people hurt over it comes from the 'mocking' and the hurtful way that she did it- it really wasn't helpful at all it was about ratings on a radio show and the furthering of her 'career'. 'Tough love' is sum'n compleatley different than in anything WendyWilliams has shown

The thing we don't learn from these situations is that there are still people out there that need help.
