Getting the #1 defensive pick is always a win in a draft.

I want to hear some analysis on how the drafts from the other teams in the AFC South compares to that of the Colts

The OL picks are all about future salary cap management. The OL now is very expensive and some of them are aging. The Colts know how to get mid-round guys to have a big jump in a couple years, and that's gonna help a lot with the cap. Especially when AR will get to the end of his rookie contract.

I loved the picks from the standpoint that it addressed our biggest needs on both sides, but need to see it play out obviously. Regardless, I'm feeling very optimistic about the upcoming season!!!

Would’ve loved a higher corner pick, but i think they picked this draft class as well as they could

Antonio Brown had an RAS score of 3.86. He also had 305 receptions for 3199 yards and 22 TDs in 3 seasons at CMU. Nearly all of the great players put up great numbers in college. At the end of the day RAS means NOTHING!

This is so dumb you can always find an outlier Tom Brady was picked in 6th round by your logic 6th round picks are just as good as first round picks because Brady was on 6th round

Ok and 99.9% of players with a RAS score under 5 were awful what’s your point ?

@@123shoshan It's not that "RAS" scores are useless. They absolutely serve a purpose. But I think people are putting far too much stock in them. Bill Polian took a lot of undersized players who didn't have the best 40 times. "RAS" scores are just 1 potential indicator. Even if you are a 10 athlete doesn't make you a 10 prospect or football player as a whole.

@@123shoshanif you could actually read you would have picked up the most important line. "Most of the great pro players put up great numbers in college." At the end of the day, you either know how to play the damn game or you dont and the RAS score means nothing. RAS is how you end up picking travon walker over aidan hutchinson. Albeit both scored high, nobody on Gods green earth watched walkers tape thinking it was better than hutchinsons, yet walker went 1, why? Frank Gore Sr had like a 5.6 score and he is the 3rd all time leading rusher. Hell, Jerry Rice wouldnt have scored well either, he ran like a broken down tight end, but that SOB could run routes blind folded with inch precision. And if your benchmark is a 5 RAS, then your including over 95+% of the whole NFL in all likelihood, so you yourself dont value the damn tool and you dont even know it.

@@thegreyghost4191 dude if you took 100 players with a RAS score of over 9 and took 100 players with an RAS score under 7 you will see 90 of the 100 with RAS over 9 had much better careers than the 90 who had under 7 clown

🚨Conspiracy Theory Alert🚨 Chris Ballard knew that report was 100% BS, because he had or he wrote that anonymous report, to have any chance at Mjtchell on Day 2. 😂

I don't understand splitting hairs about a d1 d2 players. Is the athleticism and football acumen up to professional standards? Could his skill set translate to the NFL? Can't teach speed and instincts but if the tools are there he can transition and do well.

It’s fun to celebrate potential, but I wouldn’t have let Moss go…why would you let a back go that can give you goal line bull rush when you don’t have anyone else….I hope we plan to acquire another wham-bam back!!! 🙏😎🇺🇸

To be fair I don't think he had any intention of resigning here, he wants to be a #1 RB , I think that's why he signed with Cin

The former Colt's RB Zach Moss wanted a big money contract. The Colt's couldn't offer RB Moss a big contract, because they already resigned RB Johnathan Taylor to a large contract. The Colt's will do well with RB Taylor for most of their running needs, then when he needs a rest, any other RB that they have. Good Colt's move!

I will never complain about getting 1st pick of the edge rushers especially considering we haven’t had a game changer at edge since #93 & #98

We traded DOWN to get AD. Doesn’t mean anything on the surface, but I’m hesitant to call it a value pick until he produces. If we valued him that highly we would have picked him in our original slot. Agree that the upside is there and I want him to succeed.
@scottst1112
@scottst1112 2 ай бұрын
Ballard and staff did the research and believed he would still be on the board the 5 picks later trusting that the teams between the traded picks were not going to be able to or not a wr lacking team, gambling he would still be there. I’m sure there is 3-4 players that they had high interest in. They rolled the dice and came up a 7.

You don’t trade down because you don’t like a player, you trade down because you like a player and know you can get extra by taking a calculated risk. By your reasoning Jacksonville messed up trading down and getting Thomas Jr in the first round, quit being a hater and understand the business
@AnonIncognitowoman
@AnonIncognitowoman 2 ай бұрын
@@jgilly223 Not being a hater. I said I wanted him to succeed. I just stated facts. If you trade down there is a risk someone takes that player. So you obviously don’t value him as highly as your initial pick or you wouldn’t risk losing the player. I didn’t say anything about the Jaguars, but by your rationale Brady Quinn was a value pick. I will look to you next time to understand the business, since you’re so well versed in draft strategy.

When Ballard trades up or down, he’s acquiring draft capital(more draft picks). They know what they’re doing.😂
