Were there any Sith that used their powers for good?
Well yes, sort of. Two sith from the Rule of Two era are widely considered to be top lads. The first was Darth Gravid. He tried to effectively turn the Sith into a Grey Jedi order by destroying many Jedi texts although he was sadly stopped by his apprentice. The second was Darth Vectivus, a businessman who made his fortune from mining. However, he was actually a nice guy, and after discovering a dark side nexus in one of his mines, he shut down the mine over safety fears for his employees. His strong code of ethics would prevent him from fully falling to the dark side and instead, he used his powers to build a very successful mining empire. By all accounts, he died peacefully surrounded by loved ones and friends, an extremely uncommon occurrence for a sith lord.

I don't actually know how dangerous a dark side nexus is or how important his minerals were. The delays could have cost a lot in cascading waves of interdependent inefficiencies spreading and festering due to him not mining. Also, he's not making money while the mine is down. There are actually some pretty good reasons someone could cone up with to justify not shutting down.

Yea the one pictured might be either Darth Talon or Darth Gean who was Darth Gravid's actual apprentice. You can tell b/c even though they were both red Twi'Leks females with yellow eyes, Gean acquired prosthetics for her chest, left side of her face, and her left arm/shoulder after her fight with her master. So it could be either Talon or Gean before her fight with Gravid.

I mean it was a dark side nexus, that's pretty huge. Had he let them work near it.... he probably wouldn't have employees anymore, or they'd try to become the boss. It changes minds. He did care a lot though in the actual story.

The interesting thing about Sith is that while yes, they draw their power from the dark side, not all fall to it. I’ve always liked the concept of Sith who’s power is driven by love and passion, rather then rage and bloodlust. Emotion fuels the Sith, but it doesn’t have to dominate them.
