I'm specifically clicking like because you took the time to mention the "burn where you buy" rule. It's so important to understand. ❤

great channel! Planning on riding my motorcycle from key west to AK next may. Planning to spend a day or two with family outside Jackson then do grand loop in Yellowstone after visit GTNP then enter YNP via south. any recs for motorcycle camping and doing the loop in a full day with a night at end at hotel or cabin.. Likely exit at west Yellowstone headed north towards Kalispell then Banff possibly stopping at glacier but road to sun likely not open by time I'm there.

We have never motorcycle camped, so we don't have recommendations for that but for your full day in Yellowstone, I would focus on the lower loop as more of the "must see" sights are there. Have a great trip, it sounds amazing.

I know one thing about camping in Yellowstone National Park and that's to be sure that you pack warm clothes and go when it's warmer. My family and I visited Yellowstone National Park in the 1950s in August and we camped in a tent. It was so cold we wore our pajamas under our day clothes and our pajamas over our day clothes. And still didn't get warm. Otherwise it was a good place to visit. Old Faithful was pretty cool and the hot mud/water holes were interesting to watch. A bear even joined us as we were waiting to go into a restaurant. Actually it was more interested in the garbage cans but it wasn't very far away. We knew not to disturb it or make any noise. Even as kids we knew not to bother a bear. God bless.

Yes, bring lots of warm layers. It can get cold, even in the summer.

Thanks to this video I've found better lodging! Thank you!! One Question about camps, do people leave their camps set up behind during the day when sightseeing at the park? We'll be camping there for 2 nights and I wonder if I have to pack up everything on the second day and set up again at night.

Already reserved my campgrounds for next year in Yellowstone. It books up fast. Since people are not traveling outside of the US as much, it's highly recommend to reserve campground like now if it's available. First come first serve, is going to be disappointment next year for many that does it.

These camping fees are outrageous!! I can't believe this. We camped at Fishing Bridge in our 25 ft. motor home first come, first serve, in the '80's and paid $3.00 per night. What has this world come to!! I'm so glad we travelled the U.S. when we did!

I know! But we used to be able to go there anytime and get a campsite. Unfortunately, no more.

The junior ranger programs happen in the campgrounds?
@WereintheRockies
@WereintheRockies 2 жыл бұрын
The ranger programs happen in the campground amphitheaters often. But ranger programs also happen at other places in the park. The junior ranger programs are booklets that the kids complete (and they often require attending a Ranger program). With Covid they haven’t done any ranger programs. Not sure when they will start them back up
