WES or IQAS or ICAS? the video will provide you a clear understanding of ECA - Educational Credential Assessment. I have received multiple queries on which Educational Credential Assessment agency one should select while applying for Canada Immigration or Canada Permanent Residency [PR].

I have actually followed this video and applied for transcripts evaluation with Iqas. I have completed my Post graduation diploma in business mgt full time but I only got the result as University diploma instead of masters .I blindly followed this video and have choosen Iqas big lesson for me 😭

Hello vijay, sad to hear that you have received diploma equivalency rather than master's.I am not sure if you have understood the video clearly,in the video I am referring to master's and also if you go through the comments where many had the same query I have emphasized on only certain list of PGDM are considered master's not all.I have provided this list www.alberta.ca/assets/documents/li-india-international-education-guide.pdf (page 36) to many people who had come asking for clarification before applying.I Really wished if you would have reached me or read the comments. Nevertheless,I am not sure if you have submitted bachelor's along with PG for evaluation.If not u can upgrade by adding UG with that u will have 2 or more bachelor's degree.In case your university is not listed in the link shared above,no other agency will be able to provide u with masters equivalency.

I have been hearing if you did a llb you should choose IQAS over WES as it evaluates it as masters degree? Can you explain if this is so or not? In the Caribbean, after doing your llb you have to go to law school and then do 2 years to get a certificate to practice. Do you have any advice?

Hi Monisha, thank you for this very informative video, definitely got my doubts cleared, I did use the Wes evaluation tool and I know exactly what to expect, however I have one question, can I just get my master's degree evaluated since I do not have my bachelor's transcripts and I do not want to delay my eca process spending time to collect the bachelor's transcripts?

@@CanadaStories Hi thank you for the prompt reply, I did my 2 year masters from USA and it is listed on the wes website (it is Master of science degree) and also the 'evaluation test' shows it as masters equivalent, as opposed to my wife's masters from India which shows as 4 year bachelors.

Hi Tag, in case you have a US masters you do not need to provide your bachelor's degree for evaluation purposes. However, this is not the same for your wife. In case you want you to achieve master's for your wife's pg as well [only if you are still falling short of the desired point] I would recommend going ahead with IQAS rather than WES.

08:40 Nicely elaborated. However at this point I must add that only 16 year's of Bachelor degree will get Canadian Bachelors degree Equivalency. 14 year's Bachelor is High School Diploma as per WES. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hi Monisha, Thanks for an informative video! Quick question: I have done WES for B.COM, B.A.L.L.B. and L.L.M.(all are included in one wes report) and was a PR applicant, As I was not getting PR invite I applied for student visa and got it just by using B.A.L.L.B.(graduation). Is that okay if we show WES report for masters while applying PR now or should I apply for ECA for B.A.L.L.B using IQAS?

Very well explained!! thanks a lot! I have a query please and expecting reply from you. I fall in case number 2nd as I have done my bachelor and masters from two different universities. Moreover my bachelor is in technical field ( Bachelor in Computer Application BCA) and my masters is in literature. I have done with ECA from WES but WES evaluated it as double degree certificate . So I need to try again as suggested in your video so please tell me should I need to evaluate my only masters degree from IQAS or should go for bachelor as well from IQAS. I mean as I mentioned that I have done with WES for both of my degrees. Would it work if I go only for Masters evaluation from IQAS as my bachelor is evaluated from WES. Would two degrees evaluated by two separate organizations are acceptable in express entry ?

I have some questions regarding IQAS,CES and ICAS . 1st is how much time it will take?. 2nd shall I attest the photocopies of my documents from university only or from HEC also? WES has already wasted my time & some money as university is not in thier list so 3rd question is that how to check my university is registered with IQAS, CES etc? Waiting to hear from you.

The HEC must confirm the attestation on their website. Hi Monisha, I had gotten my B.Tech degree evaluated by WES in 2020. Now I have completed a PG Diploma from IGNOU and want to get that evaluated. I have two questions: 1) Does IQAS offer better points for 1 year diploma than WES? Like will they consider it MBA equivalent? 2) My BTech is already evaluated by WES, so if I choose IQAS for diploma, do I upload only diploma there? What do I mention in my express entry profile?

But while you fill up the original express entry application, there is only option for (1) Bachelor's degree or 3 more year program (2) masters. So the point is same for Bachelor degree and three more year program, isn't it?

Thanks for your information I have a query. Would you please help me? I have done ECA for Honor's (4y) and Master’s (1 y) from WES. They provided Honor's =3 years graduation and Master’s =4 years graduation. Therefore I want to do ECA Again but only for Master’s. So which institution I should go with? Since my Master’s is 1 year, I am afraid to get Master’s equivalency. Another thing, should I do only Master’s or both graduation also? In May my score will drop 5 points. Please respond me soon. Hi, Thank you for the detailed Information. I am still confused as my qualification is little different, I have done B.com 3 years (recognized University but not from an elite or premium one). M.com 2 years course (not regular but private, from a listed University but not an elite or premium institute, in the degree there's no mention about private but in the marksheets it is clear that it is m.com private). Hi Linkhn, appreciate It was helpful for you :) Now coming to your query WES has little different rules for resident of Bangladesh when compared to an Indian. You would have better chance of getting a master’s equivalency when compared to an Indian degree. However, to be sure please visit below link and check if the master's from your college is considered as a master's by wes. most of the times that is true and therefore, depending on the outcome you may consider WES or IQAS applications.wes.org/ca/degree-equivalency-tool/ All the very best :)

Its wrong to go through WES? My post graduation is from Jawaharlal Nehru University,Delhi is declared as canadian bachelor equalvalency? What to do in such a case?

Hello ma'am, I want to ask I have received the certificate online which is without signature. Can I make express entry account now? Or should I wait for the certificate which iqas has mailed me on my address? I'm confused I saw diff. Samples of iqas certificates which are with signatures but the certificate I received on my IQAS account is without signature.

Hi monisha. Keep up the good work. I have done Masters in HR from a UGC approved university (not premier). So I should go for ICAS or IQAS to earn that 7 points. Right? My university is listed in WES as well Also If I am getting assessment through ICAS OR IQAS I need to submit both grad and masters degree for evaluation right??? Or only Masters???

Hi, I am not sure from which college/university you have graduated however mostly WES will evaluate it as bachelors degree you can get the estimated valuation from this link applications.wes.org/ca/degree-equivalency-tool/ Now, one alternative for you could be IQAS and for that, you may need to submit only master's documents. However, since there is not cost of evaluating a bachelor's degree and if you can arrange documents then there is no harm to getting that also evaluated. It would also eliminate any risk of IQAS asking for the UG degree for confirmation in case they feel any concern.

Can I evaluate just my M.tech and not B.tech in WES or IQAS or any other ECA body for Canada PR? (if yes, then my ECA is done right?)

My wife has 3+2 msc in chemistry.. IQAS gave her 4 year bachelor and 1 year masters equivalency... i have doctorate so i opted WES.. time taken by IQAS was less than 3 months

Means they have mentioned one year master on your ECA or only master and now you are able to secure 7 points. Kindly do reply urgently so i can start my process. In my case my qualification is Bsc 3 years and Msc chemistry 2 years

Hi, thanks for sharing this video. I graduated as Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy a 4-year course. Prior from that I studied BS Pharmacy for 1year from other institution in the year 1995. When I shifted to Accountancy in year 1996 they credit some of my subjects from my 1st intitution. I took a summer classes so I can fast track my studies. I finished my bachelor's degree in just 3 years instead of 4years. So when I apply my ECA to WES under the "year started" I put 1996-1999 which is total of 3years. Could this be a reason why I got only 2years diploma and not Bachelor's degree in my WES Report? Should I supposed to indicate the year started as 1995-1999 = 4years since my institution credits some of my subjects from my 1st course? Can I submit an appeal to WES for re-evaluation or should I try to other ECA bodies? Hope you can advise.

Hi, my university is not listed it is 'Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth' Pune so cant go with WES for sure but which one will be suitable for me i have only Bachelor's Degree

Hey, I have a query as WES cancelled my application stating that they do not accept documents from my university. Also, IQAS has the same kind of notion. Which ECA body I should opt in this case then? I have done MCA regular from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology(A+ UGC certified).

Hello Monisha I would like to know if IQAS is taking in application now bcoz I heard they were not taking in application till May 19th 2020 but with this pandemic situation I got a doubt if they started taking or not? Also we all know that IQAS take too long to give the report so I was wondering how long they might take with this situation and is it advisable to go with IQAS or not ?

Hi Priyanka, As of now they are accepting applications and you are correct they started accepting it from 20th may. Now one much go with iqas only in case you fall under category 1 and cat 2 as mentioned in the video otherwise wes is still the most preferred route to go ahead with.

Hi, I want to evaluate bachelor and master degree from Panjab University Chandigarh. I have created account via IQAS and upon adding institution name it shows that this institution may or may not be recognized by IQAS. And upon adding credentials it shows a conditional status that one or more credentials are associated with an institute that may or may not be accepted by IQAS. I am tensed here, what should I do here??? Please reply..

Hi..For india MBA degree, will it be Bachelor equivalency if we apply through WES? Which credential evaluation, would give Masters equivalency for MBA?
