WE deboard the Wolfhound after a couple months of sailing our longest passages, yet across the Pacific Ocean to Hawaii and back up to the Pacific North West.
However now it’s time for us to head back to Mexico, a little sooner than we had expected but that’s because we are expecting…A new boat!!!
This episode is packed with excitement and emotions of how we came into getting a new boat.

I watched this episode the day it was released but it didn't click with me that we would be on a nearly identical F-P 44 Helia that we had chartered for a week out of Ft. Lauderdale in mid-December. It is a beautiful boat and we had a fantastic week aboard learning to sail a catamaran.

Congratulations! Let the new sailing adventures begin. But first, clean the boat from top to bottom. Put your (too many) things away. Fix and repair any not so right things on the boat. Buy previsions, including beer and wine, for your first new boat outing. Double check everything to be sure all is ship shape, and then pass out for 48 hours from exhaustion. Stay groovy and stay safe.

Is the mast on Va in a different location than on Evolias? It sure seemed like the mast on Evolias was much closer to the bow but on Va it looks closer to the galley underneath?? Can't wait to see and sail on her! So very happy for you two!!

Finally, way to keep us hangin. Great editing. Loved the reenactment but keep your day jobs. So a Lipari 41 to a Helia 44. I bet you’ll see some great performance increases. It’s a sellers market so I’m sure you did well selling Evolias, but did you get a nice deal on Va? Or have to pay the pandemic markup? 😘

Yes for us the last month has ben Nuts! We sold our house in California in 6 days. A 185 over asking. Our home here on the Big Island is paid for. A serious critique here. 😉 1st, I really liked this episode. Good emotions from all over the place, I grinned through most of it and chuckled through some.😂 I LMFO at the dance routine. I got a vague idea that you really like your new home.😁💚 One suggestion, a remote or directional mic would help on occasions when the one talking is a step too far from the camera. 🤷♂️ Amazing feats of planning, execution, logistics and digital connections. 👍🤞👍 In my mind the only way to top what you've accomplished in one month would be to buy a new car from a dealership in under 3 hours. 😂😉😕 Looking forward to seeing your future episodes. 🙋♂️

Hey George! Wow you’re right. Well we bought a Helia 44 Fountaine Pajot. And honestly we had always originally wanted that one and the opportunity fell into our lap. Right place, right time and right mindset!

WE did! We met them early on in our time in La Paz and funny enough the previous owners of Evolias actually knew them too, and told us if we ever get to the Sea of Cortez to look them up! It happened organically and voila, now we have VA! We are so thankful for meeting them when we did!

Hey good morning! The new boat, a HELIA, is 44 and the old boat was a Lipari, a 41… we are putting together a little bit of a comparison video of the two boats and should have it posted in the next few weeks!
