When you are raised from K-12 on post modern relativism , is it any wonder that life is not respected. Kids are taught that abortion ( the murder of another human being for convenience) is a "right" -the relativism also kills the conscience to all criminal activity if the act benefits self . We should take a look at schools when they were run by the municipalities and states , before the creation of the Dept. Of (mis) Education . I'd wager that you will find greater success, higher rates of graduation , literacy, mathematics , science etc. as well as far less trouble .

We give armed security to our jewellery stores, or supermarkets, or Diamond District, or financial buildings. We give armed security to everything of material value, but our most valued possession which is our children oh, well they get a door and a teacher. We don't want to put cops in schools, because apparently we black people are so terrified of the police that we won't be able to learn. Democrats would love people to be in a constant state of fear, without any form of protection.

Hearing the description of what a bullet does to a child's flesh and bones is depressing. It reminds me of what it must be like to one still in the womb with tools tearing the flesh and pulling bones off of the body of an unborn baby.

@@thomastolbert6184 Yes on all counts. One good young man with a legal gun stopped God knows how many people from being killed at the Greenwood Park Mall in Greenwood, Indiana awhile back. He took out an active shooter shortly after he had started firing in the mall food court. There were deaths but it would have been much much worse if that young hero hadn’t been there….legally armed.

Mr. Hunt, your observation of front line after front line of armed guards when entering the school in Texas was well taken. Some years ago, after a school shooting, the right proposed a bill that would allow schools to hire retired military or police officers that have been appropriately vetted to protect our children, and it was turned down by the left. I think this bill needs to be brought up again.

Remember a time when schools were regarded as "de-militarized" zones? Now people are talking about having armed guards on site to defend against a shooter who is usually a child who gun stores are more than eager to sell an AR to. Oh, they can't vote, or buy alcohol or gamble. But guns, no problem. As far as I am concerned, if you want an AR, you should join the army. Then you can live out the fantasy of shooting people.
