Twisted Root Burger Company asked me to design and build an enormous beer-bottle chandelier for their new location in Coppell, TX. It comprises 400 bottles of different varieties, measures 9 feet high by 6-1/2 feet wide and weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of 450 pounds, not including the steel column. It was constructed by hand from 423 separately cut wooden parts and 82 aluminum pieces, and is lit with more than 420 feet of LEDs. I have not officially verified that it's the world's largest, but I have yet to find one larger. (If you do, please let me know.)
Take a picture with it at 505 Houston St., Coppell, TX, and tag me on Instagram @wesley_treat!
Thanks to:
▶ Rodney Treat with help in transportation and installation.
▶ Jason Boso for the commission.
▶ Tony Barsotti for the CNC router work.
▶ ENSO Fabrication for the waterjet cutting.
▶ Chris, Ryan and Spencer of Metal Arc Welding for help with installation.
▶ Bailie Duncan at Community Beer Company, Craig Bradley at Lakewood Brewing Co., and Scott Meyers and Julie Neatherlin at Revolver Brewing for bottle donations.

Dood! I had no idea you built this! I saw your other large chandelier video the other day and shared it with a broworker, and then I said "It reminds me a little of one I saw in Coppell at Twisted Root" and I proceeded to show him some pics from Yelp. Too cool and small world! Scott

Thought -- to avoid tear out try finishing the sheets *before* you cut them. Sanding sealer, shellac, undercoat, paint will all help in various amounts...

That was awesome. Where do you come up with your designs, wow. I was very impressed on the Ingenuity to link all sections of those octagons together. Do these customers come to you or do you go trying to sell to them?

Wesley. I stumbled across your channel somehow. At first I wasn’t sure I was interested in subscribing (I watched the single action weld table carter video) but now I’m hooked! I’m curious, could you make a video about how you got to where you are? I find it fascinating how people get to be where they are. It appears you have extensive printing/sign making background? I’d love to know more about your past. P.s. I’m envious of your ability to continually perform such mundane tedious repetitive work. My head would have exploded about the time I started staining all those pieces :)

Thanks for watching! I'll keep a video about myself in mind for the future, but I can at least tell you that my background is actually in writing and photography, with a few years in web development. I started making things because I wanted some cool signs for myself and it somehow turned into a career. And, yeah, the staining was a nightmare and my head nearly exploded from the fumes.

K, I hate being that guy cuz it's kinda annoying when you see it all the time, even if it's true, but, how the fuck do you not have a million plus subs by now?! You have mad skills as the kids use to say, your recording and editing is damn good, and, your pretty fucking funny! What else can ya ask for?

That’s A LOT of beer bottles. I’m not trying to say you have a problem but... the beer is all gone. Now you’re stuck with cans of beer. Which means you’ll probably be making a beer can chandelier next. A Can-delier, hmmmmm....
