West Africa Food Crisis
6.4 million people in Niger are facing severe food shortages, because of a disastrous harvest in 2011. We are working with our partner CADEV (Caritas Niger) to:
- Run nutrition centres for malnourished children
- Support cereal banks that provide grain at subsidised prices
- Organise seed fairs, so that farmers can plant in the next season
- Run "cash-for-work" and "food-for-work" schemes
- Support refugees from Mali
- Distribute food to the most vulnerable

Claudia Baez yes but if they can’t afford food they can’t afford birth control also they live in an agrarian society with little access to machines a child are extra workers. But yes birth management is a big part of famine relief it has been for decades the good thing is that as farmers get access to these things machines better seeds , medicine for children they choose to have less kids but it must be a choice. Even if your poor not having any children is not right to me because it encourages people to look into the future and build a better life.

I've watched many documentary shows on poverty stricken places , and alot of places the women have no rights to their bodies and their religion say they can't use birth control and women also sell themselves to provide for their families. Take that and them not having access to birth control and you have lots of babies being born.

Нк пойму для какого наследия идля какой культуры они их размножают,мне их до глубины души жалко,не пойму где ихнее правительство какие же привелигии должны же быть,или эти племена никому не подчиняются.
