Of all of West Africa, Senegal is probably the country that has been affected the most my environmental chances that are impacting the oceans. Subject to the wrath of Mother Nature, the seafaring people have a dilemma to face, should they take to the open seas, or stay put?
Elsewhere, wedged between the vast wildernesses of the Atlantic and the Sahara, Mauritania was born of sand and wind. In order to survive there, people became nomads. A tough way of life, this forged the identity of their nation, however this is now disappearing.

I really enjoyed the view into this way of life so far from my own. This is really cool. It would be so nice for school age children to see different cultures like this. They are happy dealing with their environment having fun and appreciation for something as simple as a cup of tea... I really need to evaluate my priorities. BlESS US ALL THE ENTIRE WORLD 🌏❤️🌹

Hi blablabla,it's very interesting to Read about your fascination with African cultures etc .I am from Nigeria 🇳🇬 and happened to have spent some time in the USA 🇺🇸. Maintaining the old legacy, buildings which were practically made by hand, with the sweat of the past generations, is a good thing, I believe. I like the cozy old houses, with bricks and stones, with fireplaces, nothing of the buildings of today can supplant such buildings. It's a return home 🏡😌💕

ive been obsessed with africa for the past few months. i really hope to visit one day. i am native american and have noticed so many similarities between our teachings and plenty of indigenous africans. i had to do a double take yesterday at some beadwork i saw (in another vid) because the embroidery was identical to ours. a lot of our beliefs are the same too, such as offerings and respect for nature, etc.. and i know these are pretty general but ive noticed plenty more similarities. .. im in a really bad place right now but learning about africa and its PEOPLE especially 😁 has been getting me through it. it leaves me longing for .... a sense of belonging, i guess. sure, when i visit one day.. i will stand out but it is my dream to make and exchange some of my regalia and beadwork with a tribe that maintains a connection with their traditions.

Africa needs to drop the name Africa. As long as the European name of Leo and Scipio Afrikanus is on the continent it will always be divided and weak.true strength is not an avaricious desire for physical wealth. It is journey to know self. Once you find out who you are, your identity is no longer a mystery. There's no bigger mystery than the mystery of self. Africa needs to return to it's true identity.

But there are 100's of different dialects, hundred of different tribes or clans, all the different countries, rich in customs, culture, foods, language, traditions, corrupt politicians and archaic beliefs in wives tales hold the people back and suppress them financially, why would you try and force so very many different peoples and regions to become one? I'm fairly well traveled in Northern Africa, Morocco for example, you cannot expect muslim Moroccans to just assimilate magically with Christian Nigerians, africa is huge, too many countries, people's, they cannot just ALL become one, stamp out the corruption, the crooked politicians, if that could happen Africa and its myriad people could shine and thrive.....

They are fighting for their lives and livelihoods, their families, homes and future. They seem to have been royally screwed by their government. And the Atlantic Ocean has turned on them. What the flip should they do if not fight on? They can’t just “Leave them alone” , seriously.. How would they live? They can’t come to Europe because of the anti immigration nonsense, even if they wanted to leave. The Mediterranean has become a graveyard. It’s horrible. We should all send money to this woman and support her to find solutions, and fight for her community.

Bulldozers...you need to invest in bulldozers to move the sand back daily....you would do well to use drip line irrigation, as it would use 5% of the water you are currently using to flood the fields. Covering the planting beds with 14mm double sided poly, would hold in the usable dirt, which you could easily make by composting, it holds in moisture and therefore uses less water. To make compost into dirt in 21 days, you need to layer the materials - green plants, dry plants, kitchen scraps, rotten food, coffee grounds and tea bags, brown paper...layer it many times, soak the entire mass...cover with a plastic tarp...if you put it in the sun, it will heat up quickly!!! 220 c and even hotter...must be kept wet....turn every 3 days, moisten to that of a rung out sponge, and cover...in 21 days you will have usable soil - high in nutrients- amazing to add to sandy soil to make it usable...2/5 sand, 3/5 compost You will see a huge increase in your production and a reduction in water usage Good luck and God bless

@c.a.greene8395
@c.a.greene8395 Жыл бұрын
@@oliviamonteque6407 we farmers need to honor our forefathers by retaining the information they have shared with us throughout the generations - but we must also learn new methods of farming and incorporate them with our generational knowledge. When I was young farming families traded their sons and daughters with other farmers during summer, to teach us the techniques and methods of farming livestock and vegetation known by other families. We were taught your produce and grazing grass is only as good as the soil it grows in and adding chemicals depleats the soil, flushing it of its natural nutrients. I see farmers today wait until the fruit is ripe then they all harvest together, decreasing their profit because of mass supply - instead of picking the fruit/ veg at 65% ripeness, 80% ripeness and 100%...the 100% is for family use and roadside sale, very little is picked at peak ripeness as this has to be used immediately. The 80% ripen food will be set in the upper fruit cellar and this will be about 50% of the crop, not frozen but cold enough to last until Christmas, where you can sell it and get the best price, as no other farmers use a cold storage cellar any more...the food picked at 65% is the food you eat during the year until the next crop, it can be ripened as needed and it makes up 35% of the crop... To ripen fruits and vegetables that are not fully ripened - place cheese cloth over box or basket, put large potatoes inside the basket onto cheese cloth, put the fruit on top of potatoes, cover with the cheese cloth, set into a dark cupboard, the potatoes release ethanol naturally at night which will ripen them to taste the same as if they were on the vine... To make the best compost use ;1) dry yard matter- leaves, grass, etc 2) wet yard matter - green grass, weeds, leaves, etc 3) kitchen scraps, rotted fruts/ veg, coffee grounds, egg shells, brown paper bags, newspaper ( I use my newspaper to cover everything and hold in moisture ) Layer everything...keep it wet...it should take 3 days ( north America) to reach 220c, but it will be far more quick in the heat of the hot sun...be sure to keep it wet, this keeps the microbes responsible for breaking it down into soil wrinkly alive...after the oxygen is depleted the temperature cools...here it takes 3 days, in Africa it may only take 1 or 2...be sure to wet the pile as you turn it over and separate the big chunks, more surface area and smaller pieces means the microbes can get in and break it down. I do not put sticks in my compost pile, I have a water bin I crush the sticks and soak them - some take a year to break down completely...I use this water as a compost tea, both on my compost pile and straight on my garden - if it is very dark - or thick, be sure to water it down...always wash you hands after handling compost. Do not worry about seeds from weed plants in compost...the first time the compost reaches 220 degrees Celsius and cools the seeds will all open...the second time it reaches 220 degrees the seeds will die in the heat becoming food... Do not put meat, do not put raw eggs, do not put bread or bones in your compost...( only bones that have been boiled and are brittle may be put in compost - meat, bread and raw eggs have been kinked with ligeonaires disease and composting...be safe )

The earth is angry from man's lack of compassion and understanding of the holiness of its Creator. Some humans could be very creative, but also destructive. No respect for nature and life, itself. That's the reason of anger from the sea. And you are right, and artist brings reflection. I am an artist as well, and I love to capture that moment of nature's stances, those will never be repeated, its a moment in time never replaceable.

these documentaries are beautiful but the awful voice over translations really ruin it and make a joke of the dialogue, who on earth had this idea?

They talk much about how climate change is affecting them w/ more ssnd. Something that MAGAts like to clame doesn't exist. Something should be done from different regions, continents, if not countries, on how climate change isn't a hoax & how it's affecting everyone. & it's much easier to hear the translation than try to read it. The heritage the legacy of your forefathers is who? I get lost in the mixing Arabs with the heritage of the country of Africa. Why do it matter who is 1st. To bring mathematics or astrology. . When the was very clear to say those words in the energy fields I was startled . Truth is what matters to our ancestors. He mentioned his people are in the timelines before Nicolaus Copernicus life 1473 - 1543. Again stating Whois first. Let truth have peace, not the mention of who won the battles of pilgrimaging the materials the people’s that was questionable for all. . No one can hid. The universe is of the laws . This is interesting how I can see , Enjoyed Australia love. Compassion
