I'm scratching my head at the anti-diaz comments this season. His wing play and energy is excellent and he dominates that side of the pitch. Yes he could do with a bit more end product to be next level but I'm not sure who else you go and get, he didn't cost that much either.

I’ve realised recently that our patterns of play have disappeared again, last season we were all wondering what a Liverpool goal looks like because there’s no identifiable ideas, this season it got better but seems to have dropped off again, there’s no real plan, it appears to be solely based on the counter press which only works by giving the ball away and then winning it back, if you don’t win it back you’re screwed. I’m personally much more of a fan of the controlling style, the current system/style is just too high risk to win this league when you don’t have an elite specialist CDM and a front 3 who will bury most of their big chances, our current forwards, ALL OF THEM, are too wasteful, you need a system that creates higher quality chances more often and I believe control is the answer to that.

Agree with points made about style of play in first half. Also: (1) what's with the players getting into the habit of pointing to where they want the ball played from/to? Szoboslai started this and others now do it. ,(2) why does quansah put his foot on top of the ball when not knowing what to do with it? (3) Everyone knows that Trent doesn't want to play full back. He's not showing that it means more. (4) Midfield have generally done well, but now getting found out as being too lightweight and holding onto the ball for too long. So many predictable things happening in every game. Klopp is right to go. Looks knackered and run out of ideas. We need a fresh approach, and about 4-5 new players to help with that.

Can someone explain to me why Trent is still playing as a defender? He’s our most creative player and hates defending/can’t be arsed. It’s genuinely, and I’m not over exaggerating, like playing KDB or beckham at right back!!! “Oh but he did it back in 18/19” I don’t care, teams weren’t targeting him back then, plus KDB or Beckham could get assists from right back but they play further forward because they are a threat at goal. His lack of desire to defend shouldn’t be ignored but Jurgen needs to realise he just has no desire to defend, he is just hampering the team at this point, even when he tries he’s just not built for defending, he isn’t quick or strong, you need one or the other (preferably both) to be a defender these days, everyone’s best or quickest player seems to be a left winger now.

The guy in dark blue sweater was spot. Salah is a leader, first one in the gym last one out. Always tries to do his best. I think whole thing is overblown. Salah is a born winner and competitor. It must hurt to see us drop off like this when we were so close again. It's just frustration, don't think it was any malice towards Klopp and same with Klopp. It just a heat of the moment thing.

Losing Matip was huge. Such an underrated player. Calm. Cool and was in great form.

Its a disappointing end to the season, but at the start of the season we werent meant to be challenging for the league, im sure the target wud have been champions league football and a cup which klopps delivered. Next season trent has to play as an attacking 8 like odegaard for arsenal. Lets take the positives, weve got a good squad, good young players and we just need slot to sort out our defensive set up and get a bit more flow to our play and if we make a couple of additions in the summer, shud be an exciting season next year.

Paqueta foul on macallister was all about refs let things go in first few minutes of a game. Other teams take advantage and we dont. Which means our players get kicked all over the place and get disheartened for rest of the game. Other teams play refs much better than we do. Look at corners where our players will be pushed and pulled all over. And we just stand there letting opponents players move around at will. We are not very good at the dark arts of the game.

The whole team has let down Klopp, its the same story every season towards the end, the whole team just gives disasterclass when it matters the most, it was the same thing when we lost to Madrid in CL and came so close to Quadruple just to lose it all in end.

We are playing without a defensive midfielder. That's the problem.

Next season I'd play Mac Allister and Trent in pivot with Diaz and Szoboslai as attacking midfielders. Darwin left wing, Diaz behind him, Jota through the middle. Diaz is not a goal scoring winger, let him beat a man and carry the ball through midfield.

Diaz is a natural athlete and is high-intensity fitness wise, unfortunately, there's rarely any end product in terms of a goal. In the 90s, in a 4-4-2 system, Diaz could have been an excellent tricky winger with skills, pace and the occasional wonder goal, ala, his bicycle kick this season, but in a front 3 of strikers, he's not an adequate replacement for Sadio Mane.

Injuries killed Gomez career but still decent, Konate unreliable due to injuries (sell him). Quansah has to partner VVD. Other than 1 mistake against utd hes been excellent

Diaz hasn't got high football IQ. He's a technically good dribbler, but when it comes to being decisive like Jota, he's not great all all. I'd sell for the right price.

Come on... yes Gakpo has improved over the last couple of games but he isn't good enough and never will be. Too slow, poor in the build up and doesn't score enough. I know it won't happen but I'd be glad to see the departures of both Nunez and Gakpo.

We talk about how bad our defence is. Look at whats missing? The midfield is really poor. Hendo, Fab and Gini were all pretty much defensive midfielders and doing a great job in their prime. They might pop up from time to time with the odd cameo and important goal but they were mostly keeping things nice n tidy and knew what they were doing allowing our actual defence to do their job which in turn helped us to keep the pressure on the oppositions defence. Now its a bloody mess. Yes Mac in the middle is good but he's joined by subpar players who just cannot cope with great deals of pressure. It has a knock on affect back to front. Just like in the worst of last season. We didnt buy enough quality because it cost too much. Jeeeez. Rice has single-handedly shored up Arsenals defence. Look at how good their central defensive pair look. Theyre very assured and hardly leak goals. Such as the quality therein, Rice has helped in attack too. Our midfield practically cost the same Rice. Theres your answer. You buy, top 6, top 8, You eventually end up in Top 6, top 8. Our current frontline are nowhere near as good as the famous front 3 either. Is there any wonder Klopp NEEDS to leave?! he looks knackered. The emotional energy he now needs to give this team to lift them to his own recent high standards have done him in. The purchase of (on the whole) Poorer players have meant him having to give even more. Its possibly why Pep will go longer and harder. Because their players are higher quality and dont need as much energy from 1 man to perform to a better level. Theyre already better. FSG realty missed an opportunity when they baulked at buying Bellingham or other top players. It couldve really helped to lift Klopp and the team to even higher levels. Shame.
