If you're following these 1982/83 uploads in order, the next game was Manchester United at Anfield. I don't have footage of this game, but you can watch it here:

Absolutely brilliant Dave another masterstroke the 82/83 season we started so well fell away a little bit towards the end but the job was done the Great sir Bob Paisley‘s last season. And of course beating United at Wembley

Yesterday I made a comment on the preceding Ipswich v Liverpool upload about this match, i.e. that it was the first game that I attended. About an hour later I see this match in my YT feed! I've been waiting almost 40 years to see once again the ITV highlights of this game (in the last few years I've managed to see just the goals on an 82-83 compilation video). We saw the TV camera crane as we approached the stadium, and I remember catching a glimpse of Dalglish et al as they got off the coach. I was crestfallen with the result, having to salute each West Ham goal as the family friend (a Hammers fan) who had taken us to the game had obviously not got us in amongst the Liverpool support! I still made myself watch the highlights that evening, which I now see again after all these years!

Fair play to the West Ham fans applauding the Souness goal. West Ham always were a great footballing institution.

Amazing football, really easy on the eye, both sets of players really playing with raw passion. Plus the atmosphere is noisy and tense unlike today’s atmosphere where matches are played like they are played in a graveyard. Amen

Interestingly Liverpool playing 3 centre backs, and Neal and Kennedy fullbacks. 3 midfield; Souness holding, Lee to the right Whelan to the left. Dalglish 'No10' role and Rush no9. Not really working in midfield. A good team west ham late 70s early-mid 80s. Thanks Dave. 😊

Devonshire was a terrific player. Did he stay at West Ham for his whole career?

That season the ICF came up for a Milk Cup game. West Ham started the Hokey Cokey and the Road End starting singing in mock Cockney accents. I think us Scousers and Cockneys use have a begrudging respect for each other.

Dev was a brilliant exciting player, who made things happen, he only got 8 Caps for England though, Had he been at a ‘bigger’ club he undoubtedly would’ve played more times for his country, no disrespect to West Ham intended.

Alan Devonshire was an amazing player, and he was terrifying to watch when your team was defending against him, and he was racing at the full backs at speed. Sad that he never quite fulfilled his promise, and by about 1985, he was definitely in decline.

This is the midfield England should have started building for the 1982 WC...Left to Right, A, Devonshire, G.Cowans, G. Hoddle, Tony.Morley...Clough and Peter Taylor would have gone that way from 1980 onwards..

Ruptured knee ligaments in fa cup 3rd round tie was told he wouldn't play again but did well to come back but was never the same player but dangerous.

Problem with grobelaer is he always wants to catch it... instead of punching it away. His decision making was sometimes suspect.

I don't understand why you put games on here when we get beat, no LFC want to watch us get beat ???

I'm sorry you didn't like the video. In my opinion it's interesting to watch Liverpool teams - particularly great ones like this - play, whatever the score, as there's always something interesting. If you only want to watch wins, you could check the score before watching. I was asked to stop putting scores on the titles, so what happened was a surprise, but if you know we're going to win maybe this wouldn't apply. How far would you take it? If LFC fans don't want to see us get beat, are draws, goals against, missed chances etc alright, or would you just prefer to watch Liverpool goals?
