Great video Jeff. Your laid back commentary style reminds me of The Leyland Brothers, which is a good thing. Great to see those inland rivers and creek flowing.

Yes it's great to see the rivers flow out here. We were lucky to be there before the big rains hit & closed the roads. Glad you liked the vid. Cheers Jeff

Thanks Jeff & Narelle. This was a very opportune video for me as I prepare for my move to Alice Springs for the next year or so. I guess it’ll be dry again already by the time I arrive so it was good to see the rivers running and to get a preview of the Macdonnell ranges here in your little travel log. Cheers. 👍

Great spot and I would like to thank our Government Depts that Provide the steel walk ways, paved footpaths and lookouts. Not enough recognition in these types of vlogs never rickety solid robust construction. [ my experience in this is in WA]

G'day Neill couldn't agree more. Some of these great paths required a lot of planning & work. In my video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gs1lftSnqZ2XYn0.html of exploring the East Macdonnell range I comment on the incredible paving job on one of the walking tracks. Cheers Jeff

I used to work at Glen Helen and have seen the river rise very high, another place to check out is Redbank gorge which is further away from Alice, best time to visit is after the rain and it's been flushed out

Agree with you Brendan. Definitely worth spending time in this area. Cheers Jeff

Yes I think there would be a lot of erosion. Even by the amount of stones washed across the road. Cheers Jeff

Those rivers hardly make it to the sea,do they?
@Jeff4fun2 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew, none of the central Australian rivers make it to the sea. They all end in the desert, mostly the Simpson Desert. Cheers Jeff
