On average an american cop does 21-30 weeks of training before patrol. So they need to cover their own asses cus they obviously cant rely on one another. Kinda like the Soviet during WW2. Just come in numbers because we might get fucked. But you know, land of the free. Seems to be going good! x)

@@stoffe77 It is 6 months full time for the academy, then another 4-6 months of field training with an experience officer plus 12-24 months of probation. Only if they pass field training do they go on patrol alone. They don't need to cover their asses and they very much do rely on one another more so than the public. If you going to explain something at least be correct about it.

In some parts of the UK criminals set up police chases so that whilst all the police are racing after the guy in a stolen car, Stores and warehouses are getting robbed because they know it will take 15-20 minutes before a police unit can get there from another part of the city

I saw at least 1 cop truck in the pursuit. There must've been some luck or something else behing the traffic lights too. Looks like the cross traffic road (Northbound?) had a red light while the straight ahead light (Eastbound) also had a red. The South and/or West-bound lights might've also been red or green too
