Those homes belong to family friends and that intersection leads to my parents' home. The twisted just missed them on the other side of the mountain. I guess that's one more good thing about being so spread out on those back roads: not many homes were destroyed.

Sure do hate to hear about the impact of the tornado. I am a West Virginian. My entire family was from West Virginia. Just seems like everything in this world is getting worse. Tornado Alley is on the move. I'm in Southern West Virginia. We have had tornado outbreaks. During this time of Spring through the Summer and even one year picked up winds from a Hurricane that was moving off the coast. We have had tornado outbreaks in neighborhoods right across from us. We had trees that have fell down. Winds and hail. We had a tornado in Charleston, WV our Capitol. Tornadoes have hit all around Southern West Virginia, into Virginia, up into Ohio etc. West Virginia was hit by the Derechio. I forget the correct spelling. It tore up West Virginia we was out of power for 2 weeks. May the Good Lord watch over all affected. God Bless You all in Hancock County.❤ God Bless Everyone❤. From a sweet neighbor in Beckley, West Virginia. I would only hope that some of our weather meteorologists would stop beating around the bush and tell everyone the truth. Unfortunately not everyone has a basement or cellar. So we are in The Lord's hands, everyone is.🌼🙏🌹🙏🌼

When are y'all going to build super adobe domes in tornado areas? These cubic frames of wood and paper are literally the worst shape and materials to use in this situation. Wind loves flat surfaces and 90* angles. As we see. Again and again.
@Tsadie1Ай бұрын
I wonder if Quonset Huts would be more resistant to tornado damage.
@brybry6669Ай бұрын
@@Tsadie1 cap off both ends with some kind of done shape, front and back are usually flat. But yeah it'll do better than a box, as far as wind damage. But objects in the wind will go right through. Super adobe is 12" thick walls of earth mix and 25% or so cement. A car crashing into one would crack the plaster. Maybe.

Yep. Michigan also had NEVER seen a tornado, and, go figure, they BOTH happened AT NIGHT!!! (Very uncommon until THIS YEAR!) This is called weather as a weapon. Geoengineered. Strange (but more and more common) bursts on the radar maps- but some are getting very good at predicting when and where they are gonna strike. 5 straight weeks of rain for many people during this important time of PLANTING YOUR GARDEN! These people are sick!
@terrib627Ай бұрын
Oh horseshiz. Michigan has had numerous tornadoes including the one that hit Gaylord in broad daylight in 2022. There's been a total of 1,219 tornadoes in recorded Michigan history, including 18 in 2023, 27 in 2010, 42 in 2001, and 1965 was a particularly bad year. I don't know what kind of crack you're smoking, but you need medical care.

"Yep. Michigan also had NEVER seen a tornado..." Obviously you were born after 1953, and know only what has happened in your lifetime. The Flint tornado is a classic example with a high death toll. Since then there have been many tornado events and the recent one (May 7, 2024, in Portage County was, thankfully, in late afternoon (daylight hours). I know because I live in Michigan and follow Ryan Hall live on KZfaq when there's severe weather anywhere in the US. Additionally, Port Huron experienced an F-1 tornado just last summer

This is the spirit of antichrist, which you heard was coming and is in the world already. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
