Thank you 💛💙 I actually got a little emotional there, as I remember watching all those 1970s gold helmets in the old stadium as a very young child (I'm 54), and then the rebirth with Don Nehlen in 1980. These things get tied up into the fabric of your life, inseparable from places, people and events that exist now only in memory. We should note that the "flying WV" has come to represent the entire state in any capacity. It's grown far beyond being just a WVU school logo.
