Looks amazing!. Agreed that stamped concrete looks tacky/cheesy, in the majority of applications. As you’d mentioned, regular finished concrete is a timeless look when executed properly. Great job guys!

I think I'd tie steps together with low rebar running under like stringers to help avoid independent shifting/settling. As soon as the reveals are not parallel, they're going to look bad. That's just my two cents. Definitely looks awesome new.

I love the 4x4 for the cantilever hope to sell a job like that. Most of the jobs I do with fat cantilevers are stampcrete or natural stone masonry but you really do have a point about that timeless look of the light broom. I’ve definitely been thinking about how the trends change sure hate to be the one to have to demo all the stuff I’ve been doing but change is inevitable hopefully the next guys have a good breaker 😂

Dont get me wrong the work is nice but the way you come off is very arrogant for someone who doesnt do all the work themselves. I lived in cali for 2 years recently in your area and finding help and running that business is easy, Theres 200 tradesmen standing outside a home depot on the daily looking for work for the day. Its not like that anywhere else, Everybody is working and good help is hard to find

If you allow me to follow up with one more heart felt comment to your heart felt comment: I’m a religious guy (Christian) and everything I have is because God allowed it. He gave me a thinking mind and allowed me to educate myself as a mechanical engineer and if anybody has any idea how hard the field of engineering is and being able to attain an engineering degree and then go on to design and build some of the most sophisticated propulsion systems for US Navy Ships. You think that was because of me? No, God saw my potential, being a mechanical kid since I was twelve years old (58 now). Was able to go on and make a great living. Was able to educate all of my three kids, two engineers and one registered nurse with no debts coming out of college so that they could have a decent start with no debts. I see the same in you Tony. I just feel no one has ever talked to you the way I’m being honest with you. It’s okay dude to acknowledge the help of the Almighty. Your talent speaks for itself. I wish you would acknowledge the Creator for the talents he has given and give thanks for it in lieu of the childish pokes at all the folks that are not as talented as you. Remember, what God giveth, he also can surely taketh away. My advice be careful. Just show your wonderful work, give thanks, be humble and you will be rewarded ten fold. As I said before, love you brother. The floating steps job was awesome!

Anthony is really the best at this. I had some poured and they weren't a disaster but they didnt come out as great as these. From what I understand Anthony doesn't leave SoCal...but Im wondering if there were enough of us nationwide to sign up for flatwork from BITW, if we could do some group contracts in different cities. We would have to make it worth his while to travel for this work...

Very nice work. I'm curious as to what stops these steps from shifting. I seen similar from a home in Florida on a hill, built in the 60s. By late 80s, with all the daily rain they shifted and sank. I was shocked when I saw the pictures of the home newly built.

Hey brother ✌️they are all tied together with rebar so essentially they are one piece. Plus they are locked in from the driveway and sidewalk above. There’s nowhere for them to move 💯

Perimeter i use 2x4 the hangover is a 4x4 so 3 1/2 inch hangover ✌️1 1/4 gap
