In Q5:101 we read "O you who have believed, do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you.". The tafsirs explain (Ibn Abbas for example), which say to accept the obligatory things and not questions them: (Ask not) your Prophet (of things) that Allah has relieved you of (which, if they were made known unto you) if they were made obligatory upon you. We also have sahih hadiths like: The Prophet said, "...And Allah has disliked that (A) you talk too much about others ( B), ask too many questions (in religion)..." - Sahih al-Bukhari 5975

However, you haven't quoted the entire verse of surah 5 :101, which shows that previous generations made similar demands again and again on account of which they lost their faith. Similar example was when Moses (pbuh), ask God to show himself. What was the response from God? Read through surah 7 Araaf of the Qur'an and see how God responded to Moses. It shows that we have spiritual limits in our beliefs which can only be complimented by Gods Grace. That's why we are Muslims; those who submit to the creator. Islam unites the whole of mankind , whatever your race, tribe or gender. May Almighty ALLAH make our spiritual journey easy to paradise.

Let's read a couple of verses from the Quran and sahih hadiths: Q98:6 "Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Quran and Prophet Muhammad) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikun will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures." Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people so long as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah, and he who professed it was guaranteed the protection of his property and life on my behalf except for the right affairs rest with Allah. - Sahih Muslim 21a

Why fight people who simply hold different beliefs? The Quran and sahih hadiths say to fight them UNTIL they accept Islam, or pay the humiliating tax with willing submission (and are 2nd class citizens). And, if you leave or criticize Islam, Sharia rulings on apostasy and blasphemy kick in... Is this a good way to live with others? Also, the Quran is supposed to be eternal, so why include verses that were only valid for a few years during Muhammad's life, if we go with what you say? @@dcanebreezy5784
