I can't help but feel sorry for Shane, especially in 2019. It was 3/1. I think for years he faced a lot of resentment from his bandmates. His book was a revelation.

I love this! Thank you for sharing. Back when they started, they used to be a mess and you can feel tension between them in interviews, and I feel it in this one too. Unnecessary jokes and mocking which all friends do yeah, but not on cameras, I feel the tension every now and then. It's to be expected after all that time apart, I hope they find their pace again ^^

😂😂Kian and Nicky should be realistic. They are not thee best of singers. Not for the kind of music Westlife became famous for. They're just competitive for nothing. Sometimes it's best to do a reality check before you speak boldy because not everybody is going to lie to you. SIMON AND LOUIS AND STEVE MAC WERE 💯 ON POINT WITH VOCAL ARRANGEMENT IN WESTLIFE. I'm glad they recorded Westlife HITS with the voices they used. It's perfect. It didn't need no changes or additions. It was world class vocal arrangement. That's why Westlife is respected even today. Bravo to Simon Cowell and Louis for having a good ear. And I thank Brian for his part in those hits. He doesn't have to be back to Westlife but gosh he did provide emotion in Westlife songs. I said what I said. Sorry Kian and Nicky.🤷‍♀️. Even Mark, if he was not happy too. People were given roles that suited their voices. There was no favoritism about it. It was about the voice that God gave each member. Blame God, Not Shane Filan. I said what I said.

To think that Kian was not performing or doing anything except surfing before Westlife saved him😂. Nicky had resigned to be a radio and Tv presenter. Solo performances weren't going to cut it for him. Mark released an album or two but he just didn't have the draw card, X Factor, nor the soul. The only person who was busy touring was Shane. And I think he is back with Westlife for money, not for happiness he's talking about. Before this interview I had noticed that he was not necessarily happy. He was a bit withdrawn. He let the others take charge. I was surprised because he came back as the bigger act than them based on the performance of his Solo career. But this interview has made it clear why. Psychological this was not good for him. But financially he needed the group. It's sad really. I sense a lot of resentment from the others. And it is unfair. Believe you me, If Simon and Louis didn't build Westlife the way they did, Westlife wouldn't be what it is today. Fact. They are just full of egos. If they were that confident and brilliant, they should have done well in their Solos. But as it happens, only Shane did well. And if he had left Westlife at his peak, he would have been a Robbie Williams. Today we wouldn't be hearing a lot of people complaining for being helped to reach the heights they have reached. Take That members are not this competitive. And they are successful. Two people who are not good singers and who don't really meet the standard of Westlife vocals are ungreatful. And are complaining a lot. Another is not charismatic and doesn't have emotion to carry Westlife songs alone but wanted to lead Westlife. This is all so ridiculous. I'm going to be blunt: Without Shane Westlife wouldn't have what it is. He is definitely the biggest draw card. Others are basically fillers. But we do love seeing them all together. I tell the truth as it is. You can't be on stage and have Zero charisma and think that you'll attract more fans than a charismatic performer with a euphonious voice.

I don't like Spectrum. I never bought it. I never listened to it except the singles when they came out. I only like Better Man. I like Wild Dreams. I just don't like their vocal arrangement on the whole album though. It's not arranged classy like the classic Westlife. Not that I'm comparing because nothing can compare to classic Westlife anyway.

Shane is lying. Spectrum is and was not the best album since their first album. Heck, it's not even on their top 10. But I understand they have to promote their new music. But new music just can't compare to old music. Fact.
